For 22?
There's a setting that I believe is on by default, challenge mode or something, it makes the AI play like "pros" so they do tons of random ass skill moves which make your defenders do the dumbest things. Without it on it's a much more enjoyable experience.
 
Basically, you need to work with L2 a lot, and then it's simply about waiting for the right time to attack.
