The guy is just saying just coz a player has been at a club for a long time doesnt make them a good captine or qualified for the job. A good captain is someone who leads and organises the team and influences the players around. It dont have to be someont who has been at the club longest.

It's just points fo view.
All arguments are valid and all are taken into acount when choosing TEH Capitan.

There I've solved the riddle  Everybody can be happy! :)

We've got our toughest test so far next week against charlton...especially the in form darren bent, that kid looks awesome.

Anyone remember the 4-2 thrashing they gave us a few new years days back? not a happy chappy then i tell you!

Yesterday Mourinho told the (Belgian??) press that his players were impressed by Anderlecht...the kindness managers have towards harmless teams always strikes me...
The fact that the match against Anderlecht isn't even mentioned in this thread says it all...
I think Mourinho kn ows better, but he's afraid the players will underestimate Anderlecht (then and only then Anderlecht stands a tiny chance...).

I don't know why everyone is taking this match so lightly, with tough games against two good teams(not excellent, but good), anything but a win would not be acceptable, especially at the bridge. I for one am a little nervy.

Where were all your fans last night?

29,000 is a piss poor attendance figure although you have to agree with MOurinho saying the fans are being priced out.

I wonder what cuntface Kenyon is planning on doing.

A lot of Arsenal fans wrote into football 365 slating Chelsea after not being able to sell tickets for the West Brom game.

The Chelsea response the next day was "IF WE HAD A STADIUM AS SMALL AS YOURS WE'D HAVE NO PROBLEMS FILLING IT!!".

RIGHT

They wouldn't have been able to fill St Andrews or Upton Park last night! Kenyon must have a really novel way to make Chelsea self sufficent in the next 5 years cause he can't expect the revenue to come from gate receipts!

EDIT - Sorry for banging on but i've just read this on the football 365 site and it is very funny.

Just over 29,000 turned up to watch Lampard earn Chelsea three points with the decisive goal against the Belgians in the 18th minute of a disappointing encounter - the attendance was less than Sheffield Wednesday's Yorkshire derby with Leeds at Hillsborough.

Good result, they were quite tough as expected, what a scorcher from Lampard though!

You have to blame the keeper though, he saved all the difficult ones and let in the one which went straight down the middle.

29,000 is a joke though. What makes me laugh is that talking to Chelsea fans, they think they are London's biggest club!!

Funny isn't it...and we all know that Spurs are London's biggest club...

Well we are gona bag the lot of glory supporters soon enough :p, i mean thats how Arsenal and United fill their stadiums.

Yeah and the keeper may have messed up, but he made some other good saves had an average game overall.

I think you'll find our attendances have always been good, the stadium didn't start filling up just cause we started winning things.

Glory supporters don't fill stadiums, they just sell shirts!

Season tickets have been gold dust at Arsenal since 1995, Wenger didn't win a trophy until 1998 so what are you talking about?

Glory supporters are the ones who dont fill the stadiums really. Like Nickybaker said. They're just there for the shirts and to be able to brag when they win.
Which actually sounds like a modern day Chelsea fan.

The jealousy you have towards Chelsea is incredible, really is. Your more jealous of Chelsea than I am of Ashley Cole going out with Tweedy.
