cannot connect online . help!

when i try to connect online , it says that i have the client version and i have to download the update. I bought the original game from play.com so it should work fine , i dont know why i should download the update.

Eventually I downloaded it and installed it but nothing happened, still i cant connect and the same message keeps showing up.

what is my problem? what should i do?

If you are using the PC version then try this:

Go to the start menu,
Connect to,
show all connections,
disable all connections apart from your main Internet connection.

I had the same problem has you but after doing this was able to play online.

Might not solve your problem but its worth a try.
 
i have this problem to and i have no other network connections :(

so far i have tried 12 match's...

1st one,no problem,beat some Portuguese dude arsenal 2 barcelona 1

2nd match i was winning 1-0 with arsenal against Barcelona...my game freezes then auto disconnected and it came up as a loss for me.

3rd match i was winning 2-0 with arsenal against lyon,freezes then disconnects at half time,came up as a loss to me

4th match i was winning with england against Barcelona 1-0,freezes then disconnected and i came up as the loser

since then.....

freezes then disconnects on the formation screen every time,and shows up as a loss for me.

i got into 1 match,i was arsenal and was 0-0 against bayern munich,and i freeze and disconnect,and it comes up as a loss.

so my record is 12 games 11 defeats 1 win,even tho i have never been behind in 1 of my games!! arghhhhhhhh

i can accept defeat,im a very good player,but do not think im best and prefer a challenge than to play a new player whos worse than teh computers ai! but to lose so many times this way,not from my skill really makes me angry.

i tried forwarding my ports,disabling firewall...and nothing works,everytime i freeze and disconnect.

i wish i could delete my online screen name also as the record is really unfair and bad for me.

If you could speak English i would be offended.

Yeah,I know I'm good enough to go on a good unbeaten run and I'm pissed off that I have 11 defeats without losing a match.

I Don't know what Google translator told you,But if you read what I said you'll see I was moaning about both the record and the disconnects *sigh*
 
Uhh stop it.... I can't even connect into match room. PES6 worked fine but PES 2008 not. WHY?! I can connect into lobbies but not into match room. Quick match doesn't work at all.
