Hi all,

I thought I would share something I noticed in a match today, which I perceived was a nice touch, specially with the improved graphics. Take a look at this photo (click on it to enlarge it):

I played it in rainy conditions, notice how the cameramen behind the goal have plastic coverings to protect them from the rain so they can take photos and still keep dry! :) I thought this was a  touch!

Share any similar things you have noticed in the new game, which has made you pleasantly happy that it is in the game and added to the enjoyment of playing.

Kindest regards,

Personally i think there are more important things to be programmed into a game, like gameplay.

The cameramen wearing raincoats isn't why i paid for it.

I get absolutely no added enjoyment from the fact that the cameramen are wearing raincoats.

Sorry Ajay but you complain on other threads about all complaints about the game going in one thread, i assume this is to cut the number of threads on the forum...then you open THIS one?

Would be a nice touch, but all the more infuriating that they wasted time on this instead of actually making the gameplay half decent

i think this is a nice touch also,i don't know why people are acting so kiddie about it.

Because getting hyped over a small detail is ridiculous when you take into consideration the shocking amount of glitchs and flaws in this game

More so, it's hardly the most intelligent topic to put up in this climate. No offence to the TC and i assume it was totally unintended but this was only going to incite people angry about the shortcomings of 08. And that happens to be the majority

LOL! Nice pic... BEST TEAM!

i dont really give a shit that the camera man has a raincoat. oh and if you look at the picture.. its not even raining so wtf has he got it on?
i know why...cos konami are so shit, they cant even tell the difference between rain and no rain. just like the ai in this game and the camera man.they shouldve concentrated on better gameplay rather that pointless shit like a camera man with raincoat on in dry weather!! lol

I don't really see the reason to bash the original poster. If he is happy with a detail in the game, thats fine. Let this thread be about positive things in the game. You don't HAVE to criticize it in EVERY thread.

i love the game despite the flaws and there are as many plus points as there are negative, little things like this are cool graphical editions and that is what this site is mainly about, sticking minor and major little graphical tweaks into the game.

i think the majority of the whiners in here should go try and find a better football game (guess what, there isn't one)

Yes, that's a nice one, mehdi. Also the raincoats detail, but I believe that it was on PES6 (probably I'm mistaken).

The game has a lot of bugs, and some annoying "things gone for no reason", like the shirt selection in league matches. Still, there are a LOT of great things going on in the game: sending your defenders up for a header, a realistic way to tackle (it's more difficult to get away with it), seeing how the CPU takes the ball to the corner point if they're winning and it's the last possession, LONGER REPLAYS (FINALLY!), and a really nice overall gameplay, IMO. All of this, of course, if you can manage to play on high graphics, 'cause the low settings make it almost another different game.

Its an image still of the game on low resolution. I optimised the image for the web, hence the quality was not great since I wanted to keep the file size down less than 100kb for all those not on broadband. I play on high settings and I know it was raining and don't need to prove myself :) Think what you like!

What seems pointless to you, is not the same for all, you may not like the game, but I do, each to their own :) Like I have said several times, its refreshing to see a positive post for a change, I am sure many people appreciate that.

Some national parks have long waiting lists for camping reservations. When you have to wait a year to sleep next to a tree, something is wrong.

you are damn right, i also liked the picture of an important moment of the previous match in the league but again they spoiled everything by removing the shirt selection in leagues, i played juventus against sampdoria, juventus wearing black and white shirts and sampdoria wearing white shirts instead of blue ones, and this is bad for the gameplay i guess.

Actually, that comment about the RAIN contitions in the "new"-crap-PES, is really FUNNY!
WHERE IS REALLY RAIN???
I've seen few... drops here and there, but NO SERIOUS rain or water-splash when the ball in hitting the ground or the players are running.
ANOTHER stupid miss from KONAMI!

yes that's good little detail, but it still miss a lot more, btw i love this game, i think seabass team was fixed on make a football game and not a game that's like football. And for me it's not perfect, but it rocks!

sorry for my poor english...

Okay Youtube working again, a new video demonstrating the effectiveness of shirt pulling :) Another new feature I like in PES 2008 PC:

Enjoy!

You have to be behind the attacker/player, hold R1 (sprint button) and your player will try and tug the shirt of the attacker/player.

Yeah Right.

And also the slowdowns and the lags simulating "broadcast problems" is a very nice touch also...

Dear Kopite, very DIFFICULT to do a shirt-tug, by running behind him and pressing the speed button. Is there ANY OTHER way?

No other way I'm afraid, that's it. Sorry.

If you don't give a shit, then why are you posting in this thread at all?

can you modify the goal net shape?

If you mean can you change the shape of the individual segments from the default hexagons to squares etc, yes you can, do a search on these forums, various people made square nets etc.

If however you mean, can you change the overall shape of the nets, i.e. make them deeper, change them to look more like PES6 etc, thus far I don't think its possible (well not the last time I checked).

Hope this answers your question.
