Become a Legend: Discussion Thread

I'm in my 5th season, and I managed somehow to get the Scoring star. Not sure how I did it, but my SA/SP/ST are all around 75 only. I scored 5, 6, 17, and 18 goals in my first 4 seasons, and got 5 a quarter of the way through my 5th season so far. I'm a mostly speedy CF who relies on through balls and lots of chances in order to score :|
 
Casartelli, your stats are great given your age. I bet you'll be better than me once you reach my age cause you're playing so much more national team matches than I am :D

Nice stats as well!! You can play allmost everywhere as a CF :)
I think it's interesting to see that you and I have the exact same special abbilities.
I have also "positioning" now, so my bet is that that will be your next abbility.
 
Great... Won the league and scored 36 goals making me topscorer and league mvp. We won the cup and I was topscorer and mvp. But Arsenal won't extend my contract? Are they nuts?
 
I'll wait for a big League B team (the only league I havnt played) but if that doesnt happen I'll try to sign nothing.

Has anyone tried that yet? I hav tried it once, and I got resigned for a lower wage anyway, but in that case my team did want to extend my contract in the first place.

Edit: Barcelona from the league B wants me... I couldnt refuse! I'm really doing well so far. I might upload my save game if anyone would like it anyway :)

don't make so many sprints to the defence, or useless sprints. just position urself just with the arrows.
 
My stamina us 85 now and if me player is fresh (after a skipped match) I can play 3x 90 minutes without getting in the red zone.
 
Talking about stamina, here's a tip :

If your fatigue bar is high, you probably won't be starting the next match. Skipping the match will reset your fatuigue bar back to zero. The thing is, even if you don't skip the match and you wait until you're subbed on, your fatigue bar will still reset to 0.

I've also noticed that when your team is losing 0-1 and then you're subbed on and score a goal, you'll get a very high rating (7.5, 8). Because of this I never skip matches anymore :P

There's also a slight bug in national games, sometimes when you come back from national duty (or go to national duty) your fatigue bar will reset to 0.
 
One time my fatigue was getting high but the manager still put me in the first team. So I thought I would skip a game, so I can play the last fixture before the break properly.
Next week, what does the manager do ? He rests me for the last game, even when I had no fatigue anymore

Im 19 and i get 7.0-8.0 rating per game...However my stats SUCK big time...Maybe it is because i have wrong strengthen...How do you put it? I put 6 speed, 3 power, 3 kicking..

Early on you should place 6 bars on two things. Mainly speed and perhaps balance to make your player be able to handle physical challenges. Leave it on those two items for maybe two seasons and then when your stats are in the mid 80s, you can change to technique(kicking) which develops most stats and then perhaps stamina...

Use the image below to sort out which stats you want to focus on.

You also need to be patient. Don't expect your player to develop like players in the master league. Takes time.
 
I just had the season of my life with Chelsea. Scored 69(in 42 games) goals in all competitions.
52 league goals, won the league and now Barcelona have made an offer. I am extremely tempted.. What to do ?

i say if you won the league with chelsea then leave, i won the champs league and league cup with utd last year, have stayed on this year to win the league then i want to go to barcelona!
 
I've played for both Barcelona and Arsenal but Arsenal plays a way better system for my position (ss). Barcelona always sets the ss on the right wing. So I'll give the ball to Bojan (the CF) as much as possible but somehow he is blind and always manages to miss huge chances.
 
I tested a few matches with Barcelona and it was horrible. I got played on the right like you did (SS). Clearly Eto'o should be dropped but instead I'm made to play out wide.

I had backed up the Arsenal game so I'm doing Arsenal instead. It's far better there and they are the team i support so its all good.
Though leaving Chelsea was a blunder. We were unstoppable...

I hate transfers like this! That is why I have put transfers on Low and trust me its great! Only Players that are realistically required are signed.. and no stupid transfers like the above...
 
Yeah. I don't know how I let that happen. I'm 26 and getting a bit bored of my current BAL.
I'm bound to start a new one with transfers set to low and a proper nationality so that I don't miss out on National games.
 
I put transfer on low and I ended up playing with 6 38-year-old team mates and the stupid manager did not buy new players to replace these old players until they are all retired.
 
I'm on my 6th season now on become a legend. what a career i've had so far :). ive got in on top player to challenge myself,
i first started out with phil brown at hull city (was better than going to psg i thought) stayed there till januray then fc sochaux (how ever you spell it) came in for me and i decided to go. all things went well then the only team i wanted to go to were fenerbahce which suprisngly came in the last day of the summer transfer window (how happy i was haha ) stayed there for two years holding the midfield and helping the back line out. two seasons at fenerbahce went and then manchester united came in i just had to go to them haha. two seasons with them and i won the leauge the cup and the european championship then wanted a new challenge so i left for benfica where i won the leauge and the cup. one season there and now onto my challenge at palermo in the itlian leauge. good career for a DMF of my ability
 
Quick question guys.. How the hell do you make it to the European masters cup? I came 2nd in the Euro champions group last yr and 1st this year... and ended up in the euro championship Is the euro master cup the Uefa cup? and the european championship the champions league? If yes then I am guessing that I would have to finish 3rd in the group to get there... Right?
