Battlefield : Bad Company Series

Re: Battlefield : Bad Company

On 360, 720p is essentially the native resolution before it gets scaled to your settings. I'd stick with 720p.

Thanks Mart. I have played it on 1080i and it still looks great, very hard to tell the difference.

Nowe in Madden 09, I can feel and see the difference in using 720p compared to 1080i. This game looks and runs much smoother in 720p noticeably.

This noticeable difference is not that obvious with BF:BC.

Re: Battlefield : Bad Company

EA and DICE have announced that Battlefield: Bad Company will be patched with Trophy support on PlayStation 3 during a future round of fixes.

Meanwhile, PS3 and 360 owners will soon be able to access the three weapons given out exclusively to pre-orders, newsletter sign-ups and demo users for free.

Announced yesterday, albeit quietly, forthcoming Bad Company updates will also address server lag, dog tag lag and PS3 VOIP issues, among other tweaks.

The developers are also currently hard at work at transforming the winner of the Battlefield: Bad Company Cast Your Vote thing into a Conquer map fit for a new map pack. Par for the Course and Acta Non Verba were the winning maps after more than 36,000 votes were cast.

For more on Bad Company, which includes a healthy single-player game along with its usual serving of large-scale multiplayer, check out our Battlefield: Bad Company review.

Re: Battlefield : Bad Company

EA wants you to vote for the Battlefield: Bad Company single-player level you would like turned into a multiplayer Conquest map.

The top two areas picked by the public will be included in an upcoming map pack, alongside a pair chosen by developer DICE. But be quick, as voting comes to a close tomorrow.

Those areas up for the poll are cover-rich Acta Non Verba, golf-inspired Par for the Course, desolate Ghost Town, wooded Crossing Over, exposed Welcome to Bad Company, and infantry-favouring Crash and Grab.

Just pop over to the official Battlefield: Bad Company site to cast your vote.

Battlefield: Bad Company was released back in June and took a more single-player and story-driven approach to the previously online multiplayer-based series - although the latter still featured to a strong degree.

The result was impressive, as our Battlefield: Bad Company review points out.

Re: Battlefield : Bad Company

Stay all all night playing this game last night. This game is simply a blast to play online.

I actually stood in front of an oncoming Humvee in the middle of the Oasis Desert road, pointed my gun at the driver, and busted a cap right between the eyes. Unfortunately though, I was runned over by the Humvee with a lifeless corpse on the drivers seat.

Love this game!

Re: Battlefield : Bad Company

There was something posted a while back that I posted. I think people have been able to hack their savegames?

Re: Battlefield : Bad Company

All FPS games on the PS3 seem to have hacking issues because of how open the PS3 is to save data, on the one hand you can put sponsors on the kits in PES but on the other you've got people with infinite life on CoD4 and Battlefield Bad Company...

I wouldn't get an FPS game on the PS3 again, it's not worth the torn-out hair clumps and broken-up gamepads.

Re: Battlefield : Bad Company

Was it proven that the hack actually exists though? And someone didn't just make some YouTube mock vid?

Re: Battlefield : Bad Company

I'm sorted then, had it pre ordered when it was £30, the price has gone up to £40 but my order still says £27.49. I hope that doesn't change.

Also the Limited Edition is the only version they have.

Re: Battlefield : Bad Company

Do you have to pay to pre order it? i know GAME does this in store sometimes

Yeah you have to 'pre order' it by basically buying it with your card. Then when you get the code cancel the order. The games out sometime next year, February maybe? and the beta is Nov 19th so plenty of time to cancel.

So its free to pre order/reserve it?

What GAME use to do is that when you pre order/reserve a game, you have to cough up some money and in return guaranteed a copy on the day and you get your money paid for pre ordering it back.

Re: Battlefield : Bad Company

If I click that I'm taken to the main page of a proxy site, I think the proxy URL has expired. :(

Re: Battlefield : Bad Company

Well I MIGHT have a spare code for you CB. I managed to get one from that site earlier and GAME just emailed me a code. The code from that site might not work as it was for the USA beta. But my guess is they're the same.

But like I say - if they're not and ea have done some kind of weird coding to block eu and us players then it might not work.

I'll pm it to you and you can try it.

Anyone know when we can use the codes ?

Re: Battlefield : Bad Company

Read on Neogaf that we can download it now.

Re: Battlefield : Bad Company

I've downloaded the beta and it doesn't expire until February 28th.
