Arsenal Thread

Funny I think Jack could knock the boots off most players in the PL .Where Rosicky n Denilson struggle to do that. Jack is becoming a very solid player n a bit of a brute too!

Yep, it's a big game for sure, not sure whether it being on a Monday night will have an effect or not? I can't wait.
I remember united ending our 49 unbeaten run. Time for arsenal to return the favour and being the first team to beat you this season in the league:BOP:

I have great confidence in the gunners this season. You're winning the difficult matches, like yesterday against Fulham. You now only need to win some big matches to prove you can win the Premier. I belive you can and I would like to!

I really hope so. But I still have to be convinced with us. We just give so many teams, so many opportunities to score against us.

But on the other hand we can score at any moment.

With the way the league is going, I think it is so open and anything can happen though.

Two fantastic goals but also some dodgy defending.
Fabianski made a couple of good saves, but also a howler on a high ball.
Nasri is becoming one of the best players of the EPL.

yep yep great display but we're are allowing too many goals right now. We need to fix this problem as teams come against us knowing they can score is not a good thing.

On the other hand...Wilshere is developping very well and I seriouly doesnt mind selling Fab to barca next year as wilshere is becoming the men that Arsenal and england need.

I was thinking Nasri but Song and Wilshere do the job just fine in the middle of the park. We shall see though, we couldn't do it against Chelsea or spurs but we will certainly be tested this sunday, as many others have said. On the broadcast saturday, the commentator mentioned that we've given up more goals than Chelsea and united combined. That's not a good number for title contenders, yet we're still top of the league.

yes monday we will be the first team to beat you in the league :WORSHIP:

like i said, time to return the favour when you ended our record.

forget the El-clasico or whatever you call the barca vs real madrid.

Its all about Man united vs Arsenal. the real deal . Get your popcorn ready lads because its going to be breathtaking

Oh yeah, United is always one of my favorites along with the Liverpool matchups. You really never know which way it goes, that's how great the "rivalry" is. Will Nasri hit another brace? You bet we'll be on the end of a deadly United counter at one point or another, we always let those happen.

All I know is that we won't keep a clean sheet that's for sure lol

Oh shit, I have class at the time of the match. I surely was gonna skip it to watch the game, but today the prof said the final exam will be on Monday. I'm devastated.

Gonna rush the test and try to watch the second half. :P

We need to play our best tomorrow, hopefully put the game to bed in the first half, so we can rest players for Mondays game.

If we don't get a performance, then we could be out of the Champions league and with Spurs going through and being top of their group, that just can't happen!

was going to go gym and sit this match out as i feel we will win this game with our eyes closed but missus persuaded me to go gym tomorrow instead.

Well, I`m not sure what to think ,but I think the commentators were harsh on Arshavin . They were slating at him at every touch ...sour grapes I suppose , but when Theo came on they sang his praises at every run the goal did made their cause  . 4-4-2 is Not our cup of tea .I couldn`t believe how Jack`s presence was missed. Tonight we won ,but I feel there is only 1 player on top form and this formation along w/ Arshavin killed their game. If , this was for Robin Stop sacrificing for the sake of 1 player to reach top lvl again. It almost killed us !

We made it tough for ourselves, but got the result we needed. Van Persie looked rusty, but that is to be expected I suppose.

Arshavin didn't play well, we need him to play on a consistant basis. he needs to do better.

Bit of a soft pen, but a pen nonetheless I think. Walcotts goal was well taken and Nasri's goal was lovely, credit to Song aswell.

Oh well Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern or Shalke. I wonder what one we would prefer?....could do without the spanish ones :DD

Arsenal were bad yesterday (and this against the weakest team in the CL). Hope they play better against Man Utd.
I would love it if Arsenal could eliminate Real Madrid in the next round.

I would love it too mate, but we will not succeed with this rubbish defence, and a manager who refuses to work on our weakness from last season.

We are so fragile, it's unbelievable. As soon as we are 1-0 up, you can normally put a good bet on the other team scoring very soon after.

I guess with the injury to Vermaelen, he is forced to play Koscielny more than he would want to, but we just cannot lock out games and grind out 1-0 wins. Squillaci, for a seasoned defender, makes very fundamental defence errors too.

Maybe we should have gone for Escude instead - or maybe it's more fundamental than that - the whole defending ethos with the team.

It seems to be geared to all attack, and after Seaman-Dixon-Keown/Bould-Adams-Winterburn, Wenger has never built or answered a defence as capable. The closest he got was when we had Lehmann-Eboue-Toure-Campbell-Cole

Wenger did experimented by playing 2 DM`s he knows results don`t lie. Look at Mtud they are supposedly the strongest defensive side ,but even they had blimps . I think the secret is more teams are doing what Wenger does...attack..attack ..attack and goals will come. Even small teams are scoring vs a strong defensive side.

Ding Ding Ding! We have a winner! Wenger is too stingy to spend on defenders, didn't you know? Take the money we spent on Arshavin, and who knows what kind of players Wenger would buy with that kind of money.
