Arsenal Thread

Is this ur FIFA face?

gael and cesc look clueless and lost. :)
if you didn't know these lads were star players at arsenal and winning millions of pounds you'd think: pff...bloody students...get a job!

That was reported ages ago, I think it was his friends that were involved and not him (he was there obviously)?

But anyway, he definately needs to sort it out. I think he is at the best club to do that though...hopefully. Otherwise he is not going to fulfil his potential and at the moment the potential is HUGE!

It's a bit of a curse being an English player, because our culture of drinking etc.

Lets hope he pulls it all together.

What a joke! Can't believe it. I think we are the only top 4 club that can lose a game at home being 2-0 up. Never going to win the league with a shit home record.

Poor defending was our downful again.

Extremely frustrating to say the least.

i give up. roll on next season. maybe we'll have a new manager who will buy experienced players.

im sitting this seasons out as a loss.

Really?!

We are two points away from the top of the league? When we really do go through rough times Jonney, will you stop supporting the club?

Sometimes you act like we are fighting relegation, I just don't understand it?

I am extrememly frustrated because I know that we have the squad to win things, but it is not happening. But I am happy we are still fighting for the title.

Well i had the immense pleasure of seeing the match live at the Emirates (a surprise gift from my wife). I took the Thalys from Brussels and was home the same evening...
Of course i'm over the moon because Spurs have won.
But to be honest what impressed me most (or rather 'who') was...Cesc Fabregas. What a player...Modric is my absolute favourite player, but Fabrgas was so much stronger...

Harry turned the match by bringing in Defoe. And what a great finish from Bale (but also from Chamakh).
Afterwards i saw MOTD and i have to say that Spurs were a litle bit lucky with the equaliser (penalty). It definitely was a hands ball, but i never think Song committed a foul on Modric.

jonney, i don't understand you. Your team played a brilliant first half against a very good team...I know Man Utd would never have given away a 2-0 lead...but they are so dull.

Jonneymendoza = Glory supporter

Go and support Chelsea jonney... oh wait.

No mate i will leave that to you. i have supported arsenal since the dark days where we was a mid table team way before mr wenger came into the scene.

We have already lost 3 times at home. saturdays loss is diabolical. how the fuck do you expect us to win the league.

i still support them. still watch them play 9/10 of their games but they are fustrating to watch and like i said, cant see us winning the title if we carry on like this.

Gerd, we've already given away 2 goal leads three times this season (Everton, Liverpool, WBA)!!!!!!

I agree about Fabregas. He was everywhere. Absolutely brilliant performance and the best player on the pitch by a long way. Van Der Vaart was the most 'effective' player given that he scored one goal and set the other two up but the rest of the game he seemed off track with his team mates and committed a fair few fouls etc. Sky decided Bale was MOTM which I'll never understand. There were at least 3 or 4 players more deserving, though of course it's not really important.

Arsenal didn't even play badly overall, people are saying they're too weak again blah blah blah, but it wasn't like Spurs steamrollered you in the 2nd half and to be honest I thought they were lucky. The 1st Tottenham goal was a fantastic counter attack just after half-time, the 2nd was a penalty which like gerd said could be debated (though Cesc and Chamakh were stupid) and the 3rd was from another setpiece. You also had a goal disallowed and a few other chances to score which you were unlucky with but that's how football goes.

Gerd - where did you sit? With the Arsenal fans or with the Tottenham or was it in an executive box? Very nice of your wife. :)

Jonney, I shouldn't really be teaching you your own teams history but Arsenal have only finished 'midtable' something like twice in the last 25 years and haven't been out of the top flight for over 100 years. Before Mr Wenger came ONTO the scene George Graham was manager and he won a couple of league titles plus a few cups too, some real dark days. Arsenal has had success pretty much every decade going back to the 60s so why don't you just stop talking crap eh?

my point is i been supporting them through some dark times at arsenal. by the way, how far do you live from manchester or do you live in manchester?

your team has brought more success then arsenal. calling me a glory hunter is desperation by your part.

I was among "neutrals" jumbo, although i had the feeling that most people around me favoured Arsenal.
My wife is a sweetie...she has no clue about football, but my 7 year old son told her in summer that the one match i had to see was the one against Arsenal. He knows this because we play either Barcelona (he) - Spurs (me) or Spurs-Arsenal (he) when we play Pro Evo... My wife also arranged ticket for Tom Waits (a couple of years ago) and Gorillaz (this week).

I agree with jumbo that Spurs victory was somewhat lucky..like i already said: it's not so much Spurs that won the match, but Arsenal that lost it. I can understand Wenger's frustration (i saw the images on MOTD).

I live in Manchester and I can see Old Trafford from the window at work.

What do you mean 'brought success'?

What i mean is united have had more success then arsenal in the past 25 years.

i too use to live around a mile away from highbury when i was a kid. im far from a glory hunter.

Trust me, im just bitter we lost 3:2 at home to those fuckers. im sure you can understand if man city did the same at old trafford!:CONFUSE:
