Actually we have a better Italian goalkeeper with MannoneMarchetti is officially transfer listed and apparently Arsenal are after him.
I can't believe i'm going to see Fabianski in goal at the Emirates. FFS.
Well bobby and jonney, "Arsenal" did nothing wrong. Nothing at all.
What happened was that Guillou and Wenger are very good friends (Guillou was the first person to give Wenger a chance as coach) and that Guillou served as a "straw man" (don't know if that is correct English as i'm translating literally, you could describe it as an unofficial middle man) between ASEC Abidjan and Wenger/Arsenal.
Beveren got in financial trouble, got a loan from Guillou. Later on this loan turned out to be from Arsenal (which isn't very fair) and Arsenal had first choice from the good Ivorian players.
The fact that only Eboué succeeded (i'm pretty sure other Ivorian Beveren players went to Arsenal, but did not make it to the first team, but let's just pretend that it was only Eboué for the sake of argument) is not irrelevant. The fact is that Arsenal had first choice. The fact is that Guillou did illegal things (human trade, obscure financing) and sucked Beveren dry.
Bobby, it's true that the fact that Brittain (and Belgian) robbed theirselves rich in the past does not matter now. It would certainly matter if the same PM was still in office. What happened with Beveren was due to Wenger. Wenger is still coach of Arsenal.
But don't misunderstand me. I admire Wenger as a coach and will gladly give him the benefit of the doubt, that he never knew what precisely happened in Beveren. And "Arsenal" certainly didn't do anything wrong. What i'm trying to do is to put things in perspective. I honestly see nothing wrong with what Barcelona is doing in all the Cesc transfer saga. I understand that you guys don't want to loose Cesc, but Beveren fans did not want to loose Eboué and Yaya Touré.
Some of you say that what happens with Cesc is immoral and what happened with Beveren is normal because Beveren was a feeder club (as a matter of fact, officially they weren't, the club wasn't aware of the officious connection between Guillou and Wenger, that transpired later). IMO that is a fine example of flawed ethics. And as farfetched as it seems now, it is still possible that in a distant future Arsenal could become a feeder club of for example Russian clubs (that will be the biggest league in the world in 15 years). Look what happens now with Liverpool. Big clubs like Man Utd, Chelsea, Man City are articficially wealthy. If Arsenal would become a(n officious) feeder club, you guys would not be very happy...
I realize that i will not convince some of you and think it's best now to agree that we disagree. I hope that Fabregas can stay with Arsenal and that Arsenal can continue to play very attractive football and get silverware (but loose both matches against Spurs ). I have nothing against Arsenal, IMO they are one of the most attractive teams in the world.
It was nice discussing with you bobby and jonney. I hope in the distant future we may agree about something.![]()
They still have not paid the full sum for hleb and henry so what makes u think they can even afford to hand us 30m in cash let alone 50m??

I would rather see Fab leaving winning something as Arsenal captain. Fingers crossed this could be the season.
On another note, the home kit is on sale today.
http://www.arsenal.com/news/news-archive/home-kit-launch-gallery
I really hated that red stripe on the edge of the sleeves! I think I'm getting it long sleeve, as it look much much better.
Yeah I really like the new kit.
On another note, I got the new membership pack for Arsenal. Really nice. You get a Eddie Hapgood Autobiography, membership DVD. The official membership yearbook (has detailed info on all games last season and info on all our players, really great). one of the nicest things though is a really long team picture of all the players to have played at highbury. Its a bit small, I might look into getting a big version and putting it on the wall
the box itself is really nice, has the mural that is around the emirates stadium.
Your home kit is class. Nicest kit in the league IMO.

"i'm from barcelona, my club is barça, my friend are from barça....wnger is my second father..talk with he, was hard...i want win the champions league and more titles"
"I'm a Barca fan, I'm a socio, as is my grandfather, my uncle, my cousin... I have felt the colours from a young age, I'm Catalan," he told magazine DIR Emotions. However, I'm the captain of Arsenal, I'm a 'Gunner', and I have become a player there and matured as a person.""He is a second father for me, the most important person in my life after my father. He has behaved really well with me and taken me in like a son. I am part of his family," he said.
Agh, the only thing you achieved with that list is that I feel a little bit older watching those birthdates...
You always bring bad news one way or another, do you?
The guy clearly wants to go so it's inevitable really...
