Arsenal Thread

Jonney, do you read anything anyone writes? Nearly everyone has said £30m is a low offer, you sound like a friggin madman.

BARCA DID NOT ABANDON CESC, read my post further up. There were already big signs that Cesc was going to be a great player, he was top scorer and best player at the world u17 tournament just before you took him (and this was probably when you decided to go for him) so why would Barca not want to keep him after that? Their hands were tied by unfair differences in laws in two different countries.

He only went into your first team due to injuries to more senior players, so you could argue Arsenal got lucky in allowing him to progress so early (it wasn't their intention for him to play so often so early) and also that he already had the talent and would have made it big at any club.

I know I'm playing devil's advocate a bit here and there's no doubt Arsenal played a big role in is development but there's no need to try and rewrite history. Like I said, you should get more than £30m for him,

that is very confusing statement at Arsenal everyone has a chance to shine luck has fuck all to do w/ it really bobz. At Arsenal one`s injury is another opportunity ,that is for every club on planet Earth not Arsenal`s luck. With their Medical team it seem that`s protocol  and for intentions only Wenger knows

haha well said. Jumbo try again.

might be pretty damn true... and could make sense getting a reliable def midfielder, probably one of the best in the world +40mil , thats a good deal for my money. and Enough money to get Gourcuff...Yes we might loose fab but I feel like change is needed at the club and thats a good way to turn things around even tough our best product have to leave.

Toure + Gourcuff!?! Damn... I wouldn't want to lose Cesc if I were an Arsenal fan but that sounds f'n dreamy!! Lool

Cesc in the middle, Toure sitting next to him slightly behind (I'm not sure if he plays DMC as well?) and Gourcuff as the AMC? Now that sounds even more f'n dreamy! However, I doubt that would happen with Wenger's tactics.

for entertaining purpose: 4-2-3-1
..............rvp..........
nasri.....VDV.........kuyt
......song......toure....
clichy..verm...gallas...sagna
...........pepe...........

more defensive w/ a tad attacking

How do you know Kuyt will be there? Certainly Walcott on the right and Arshavin on the left? Also Chamakh joined us so you're planning to keep him as cover for van Persie?

yeah yg what was I thinking and forgot about chamak and arshavin ... walcot isnt a starter I could put robin as a cf behind chamak. Someone pm me where is joe cole i answered on the England squad  We dont need him we need CB,GK

Beboq, has jonney been sharing whatever he's on with you?

I mean Kuyt on the right for Arsenal...seriously..?

That's why I proposed a 4-4-2 for next year's squad, since most of us are resigned to losing Cesc. But if we get Toure, we could use Song and Toure in the center, kind of like how Vieira and Petit used to be in center field. That would allow RvP to perform some excellent link up with the rest of the squad, minus one Fabregas. With Arshavin and Walcott fit next year, we should have quite a potent starting line-up.

I don`t fancy Walcoot atm if we have a big aerial finisher wouldn't we fair better w/ some crosses. I don`t think Walcott likes the right-side. His decision making is shocking at times. Eboue can cross better than sagna and walcott works better w/ Arshavin both are exceptional quick. I`m not sure what wenger is planning if fab leaves.

oooh Liverpool away first game of the season! that will be a toughy.

Hopefully they get rid of Torres and Gerrard and the players they bring in don't gel in time :))

hopefully whoever we bring in, play like they have played together for years and we get off to a flyer!

Yea and we lose fabregas and don't bother replacing him

I can see why Vela's not been getting many games in recent seasons. He's got the footballing brain of a spoon, as the World Cup's shown.

Yeah I think your right, but I suppose that should come with experience.

He has a lot of talent, but so do 100,000's of other players. He needs to make that next step.

cesc "i want play for barcelona, i say this, in port aventura, and this is the true, i don't talk more"

cesc fabregas 19 june - in rac1, spanish radio

In what context? He might be talking about his dream rather than right now.

the reporter asked
"You play in barcelona? Still want to come?"

and responded cesc
"Yes, I said I want to go to barcelona, I said in Port Aventura, and is what I feel, do not deceive anyone, and I will not say anything more"

sorry for my poor english

No suprise there, Everybody knows he wants to go.

But he has a long contract with Arsenal and we wont sell him for less than he is worth :))

If Barcelona offer us the money we want, then he will go, otherwise he won't.
