Arsenal Thread

Bendtners back! obviously it will take him a few games to get back to his best, but it is a big plus for our side.

I think if Walcott plays tonight, he might have a bit more luck. As Villa will try and punish us with their pace tonight. So to have a player like Walcott to run straight back at them quickly, will help us counter them.

These next four games our players really need to step up. We will see from these games what our title credentials are.

COME ON ARSENAL YOU BUNCH OF SEXY BASTARDS!!!

I really hope Nasri will start but it looks like he will be on
the bench but what about Eboue? Is he already back from Africa
Cup of Nations and fit for a full match?
I would prefer him as right wing, not Walcott.

Not sure about Eboue, as far as I know he is away at the African Nations (But I haven't been following it).

At the moment I prefer to bring Walcott in the last 20mins of the match and hope the other team have tired a bit.

Well Chelsea have said that Drogba and Kalou won't even play this weekend so I guess the same would apply to Eboue and he won't be available either.

Goalless draw. Don't know what to think about that yet. But Vermaelen is suspected to have a broken fibula :(

And also Eduardo was out injured the same day Bendtner returns. This situation is getting far past ridiculous for us. Arsenal needs to fire its whole physio and medical staff! WTF!

And if Eduardo takes longer to return, what now? Will Wenger go out in the transfer market with 3 days remaining??

I gave up on Wenger signing anyone, all we will get is
"We still have Walcott, Vela and Emmanuel-Thomas who can fit the role".
The reason that no strikers are avaible is pure shit, there are so many strikers with a release clause.
I can't believe why he will not sign anyone, we got 29.000.000 € for Adebayor and
18.700.000 € for Toure, why the hell we can't buy a striker for that, CSKA got Doumbia for example,
Hamburg got Van Nistelrooy, Everton got Donovan, why we could
not sign anyone, I'm shure every of these players would have been a help for us.

Last night wasn't a bad result, would have been good to get the win.

But if we can win our two home games and draw both away, that will still be good going.

Although beating an In form united and Rooney might be a task, especially with Vermaelen out.

Also getting a draw away at Chelsea will be an achievement, seeing as we got spanked at home by them.

But I do think if we get 8 points out of these 4 games it will be good going :DD

I can`t help but notice Sol in headlines. I really don`t fancy him at all every time I see him I can`t shake off that night vs West Ham, when he ran off...Song is back and he provides much coverage for the back . Verminator is sussed! :TTTH:

A Campbell vs. Rooney matchup would be our worst nightmare coming true. Never thought I'd be saying this, but can we have Sylvesta instead?

Song's back, Nasri should be back, Bendtner also. I think if Arsenal overcomes the absence of Verminator and somehow manage to contain Rooney, we can pull it off. I can see Fabregas and Arshavin really inspired in a big match like this.

Totally agree.
The market is inflated? We have some decent money and you don't have to spend it all.
No strikers available? Of course they are.
We couldn't find THE RIGHT players. Get someone ON LOAN then, you don't have to marry him! And please don't tell me that all our players in the squad are THE RIGHT ones and that there aren't better options out there.

Since RVP was injured I have a feeling we've been under-performing in many occasions. When Wenger talks about the amount of goals scored, imagine if we had RVP - or a decent replacement for that matter.

Not that many in here will admit it, but Arsenal miss Adebayor.

We are top scorers (Well we were, haven't looked for a week or so) in the league and the goals he scored are spread more around all of our players now.

The only way I would kind of agree is that we miss an out and out striker now Van Persie is injured.

But I wouldn't miss a striker with delusions of grandeur, that thinks they are much better than they are.

Of course we're better off without Adebayor, but mainly because of the bad atmosphere he created. But if we put aside his character flaws, he is a kind of player missing in our squad. I think we need more physical presence inside the box and should have replaced him with a CF with the same characteristics (physical build and positioning in the pitch). We thought Bendtner would step right in but Wenger has been using him outside the box and now we don't have a real aerial threat as it is.

As a matter of fact I feel we don't have anyone inside the box, really. At times it is pointless to cross from the flanks as our crosses hardly ever meet one of our strikers. Eduardo doesn't suffice in this role IMO. He's more like a support striker, always exchanging quick passes with Arshavin and Fabregas. But that's pretty much it. He has not been scoring.

That`s because we use out/in-swing crosses where the Wing would head it into the box. Our top(cf/st) is usually a utility to pull defenders away to place a pass hence why our mids are scoring more than strikers. It`s nontraditional method and Wenger wants to exploit it

Bummed by Chelsea at Home, now by Man Utd.

We haven't got a chance now. We don't deserve the league anyway....ridiculous!

Nights like this when I hate fucking football, so depressing!!
