Arsenal Thread

Top of the table :BOP: ta`hats how it`s done....0-2 to 4-2 :BRMM:
Hate to spoil this to you guys but I don't think you'll stay on top for long, just look on your schedule Villa,ManU,Chelsea,Liverpool.
And we still got a game in hand..

So funny, when teams like Bolton were physically abusing/assaulting us every game in previous seasons. People said we need to toughen up and have a plan B.

Now we are giving back the abuse and have toughened up, everyone goes mental

We can't win either way.

Teams like Bolton (Even though I think they played quite well the other day) aim to kick the crap out of teams like us. So when it happens to them and the other team get away with it, they should just think it is karma and stop pissing and moaning.

Think it was Kevin Davies that was bragging in one of the papers that Arsenal players cried whenever they got a hard challenge on them. Bet he isn't finding it so funny now :DD

spot on bobby! Simples.... bit funny w/ pool fans aving a go though that came from nowhere  . Wenger apologized for tackle and then compare Denilson`s falling down during the Everton match and play kept going. Wenger doesn`t need to explain nothing.

Manutd could go on top on Saturday putting Chels to 3rd spot :P. I wonder if any of the Glazer`s grandchildren will take out a billion ( money ) loan off the club`s personal cash for the owners family funds,if they go top spot over the weekend

i laughed when rosisky tripped a bolton player who before fouled diaby. that was funny. good on them. if they try to break our legs, lets do the same to them.

fucking pricks

Overreactions to Gallas' tackle are absurd. It was a freekick no doubt, possibly a yellow. There was no malice in the challenge, it was a 50-50 ball that he had every right to go for. He was late, Wiley should have blown, but he didn't. Play to the whistle, thems the rules. We very nearly suffered the same in the Everton game.

Bolton had another player down later in the second half, and play went on. Only this time, they had possession, so there's no problem. What a shitbag team.

Any side who call up their keeper to take every freekick and lump it into the box so Elbow Davies can try to bundle in another scrappy goal deserves to get stuffed 4-2 every game. They're in the bottom three for a reason; they're a pack of cunthounds. Owen Coyle seems like a nice man, but Bolton are the definition of a pikey, northern shitbag team. Hope they go down. Loved baiting that little munchkin hamster Matt Taylor at 4-2. What's his problem anyway?

EDIT: Ah, he grew up a Sp*rs fan: http://tinyurl.com/yb35a9n

In other news, Gibbs out for the season:

Forgot to say, I saw Ray Parlour outside of the Emirates today on my way to work. He had a two man TV crew with him. Looked like it could have been for something like Footy Focus.... but come to think of it, it could have been just for the website/arsenal channel.

I like Ray Parlour, with his crinkled face and gingeryish hair. He always gave 100% for the Arsenal and scored some important and lovely goals for us aswell.

What a match it was! I was there behind the goal in the yellow quadrant. Thought I was in for a real nightmare but we made it! When Fab levelled things up and especially Vermaelen got us in front, it was mental, a catharsis! Beautiful stuff! But I don't want to get scared the shit out of me every week like that...

The Gallas' tackle overreaction is typical of the Arsenal-hating people. It was clear that it was a very close 50/50 and he had no intentions. Should be a foul and maybe yellow, but the whistle never came. Wenger summed it up perfectly - he didn't defend Gallas or deny it was a foul but just said "let's compare the challenges on both matches then, shall we?"

Now we have Liverpool fans coming here to say shit, while overlooking the fact that their own team got saved by the ref when Pepe Reina's cock up was followed by a Defoe goal that shouldn't be disallowed.

But I don't care. No one likes us, no one likes us, no one likes us, we don't care :D

oh well, a great chance to in the FA cup this year wasted. Our injuries have blighted us again.

I agree with what Wenger done today, as the next 4 prem games are vital and are going to be very difficult.

But I cant help but be very dissapointed :(( as it probably is our best chance of silverware gone this season.

yeah the fact that Chels plays w/ their starting XI through-n-through imo it`s an easy cup victory me think. I sort of feel even if we had 4 games w/ weaker opponents Wenger would still opt for a young side in the FA Cup-he devalues the cup

Is it just me, or is Walcott just pish? Just got back from Toronto where i watched this game, and he was simply awful.

He has just one aspect to his game - pace - and he can't even use that.

He's no Lennon - with pace, dribbling, crossing and scoring ability. That old excuse "he's still young" is beginning to wear thin with me. I hope it's just rustiness from being out for this season.

I think he will come good, he keeps getting injuries. If he has a good few months without injury, I think we will see him do well.

I think he has more to his game than pace, but he seems to be a confidence player. If he has a good performance, then it will spur (Sorry to use that word) him on.

Lennon is around 23 and Walcott is still only 20-21. Lennon really only has been coming out of his shell in the last year or so. I know it is a cliche, but they do say a footballers prime is around 26-27years, so there is still along way to go.

I think a player like Walcott we need to stick with, as I think he will definately be one we regret if we let go.

But he wasn't a football head before Southampton was he?

I seem to remember reading he was a sprinter on an athletics team, who turned to football - thus maybe highlighting his lack of tactical awareness on the pitch on some occassions.

Thats true I think. But he has more about him than pace IMO. His pace is a main part of his appeal and talent, but his finishing can be great, his composure and accuraccy. But we have only seen glimpses of it. If he actually got some consistancy, I think he could be a prolific goalscorer. In the same mould as Henry.

Henry was shit during hsi early days in his footy career. he was even rubbish in his first season at arsenal but when he reached 25-26, well all is history put it that way.

if walcott was 25-26 years old and playing like he is now, maybe it is time to release him but at 20? lol

Walcott's passing improved recently IMO. In that 2nd goal against Villa he set up Fabregas wonderfully.

Problem is, like many players in the squad, he is made of paper. Oh and also preferred to play for England Sub-20 in the offseason! Wenger warned but he insisted, now there you go. Another problematic season for him. I know this story is old, sorry for bringing it up, but this still pisses me off a little bit.

For that matter f*ck national team friendlies as well. We shure as hell miss RVP too...
