Arsenal Thread

just think about this: unless he has a remarkable attachment to the club,....Cesc will leave next year no matter what. even if we win silverware (and a carling cup is not enough IMO), even if we lose AGAIN.
he's just reached that point, where regularly a player leaves, uneless he's a Gerrard type player.

Call me crazy but I feel Cesc is not irreplaceable.
your not. fabregas doesnt make a huuuge impact like how Henry use to otherwise fab would be the best player in spain but he aint. xavi and iniesta are both better players then fab.

no doubt fab is a good player but i dont think he is irreplacable

Yeah I agree with you there jonney. He's a critical part of the setup here, but I just don't feel he's on the same level as Xavi or Iniesta.

But losing him in this stage is probably the last thing we need.

yea defo. we need most of our players right now including eboue and denilson. lets face it, even though denilson and eboue are rubbish, they are better then alot of premiership players out their and better then our kids thats for sure.

Adebayor wont be missed though. we have plenty of strikers but same cant be said about our midfield which is our main weakness. we need one DM and i wished we could have got Melo for 25m. that would seal it for us. Melo and fab in the middle would be a great pairing.

right now, as things stand, i feel arsenal can easily finish in the top 3 and probably win the fa cup at best. for us to win the big prizes we need a world class DM and Bentder and eduardo to suddently become world class strikers. right now, RVP is our own proven striker.

Defensively we look strong. gallas, toure plus that new CB and possible senderos as a reserve is good.

say what you want to say about senderos, but he is better then Gibbs and other kids in our team.

Right now, no1 in our team is irreplacable. its very balanced in the fact that their is no player in our team that stands out atm. No super star in other words and that can be a good and bad thing. good because no matter who is on the team sheet, we should be playing the same level of football regardless, Bad because the difference between winning a final or not is sometimes done by a piece of brilliance of an individual world class player but we dont have that sort of player any more

No one is irreplaceable but if he went, Arsenal would have to SPEND to bring in a quality replacement. And hell, if you look at our squad right now, Fabregas does have a major influence over other players and the style of play. Just remember how things went when he got injured this last season and the impact he had upon his return. Suddenly it seemed that he had his share in everything creative that happened. I was just watching some older stuff and the amount of decisive passes he was involved with really blew me away.

C'mon guys, enough with this funny talk. I don't want to even imagine Arsenal without Fabregas, at least for now.

Amin!
and let's face it. From what AW, he's in no hurry to buy...
and btw: at the moment there isn't a great DMF like Vieira or Davids (good defensivly too!) back in the days. maybe it's just me.

That's why you will not win anything yet again. Until you find that spinal core (GK-CB-CM-ST+Star) you won't win anything important enough to any of the fans by that im referring to the EPL title or the CL (that's pretty much impossible atm).

Arsenal just need a world keeper a Partner for Fab RVP on prime and a star (wallcot is 2 young and Nasri doesn't really cut it for me too unstable, he either plays well or he just doesn't care) like you had years ago Campbell a hell of a CB, Patrick a hell of a DMF Henry the usual suspect and Bergkamp the key-man. Thats why you reached a CL final and won lots of Premier Leagues, because you had a super strong spinal.

I really wanted that Arsenal back btw, can some1 deliver that message to Arsene? Because he seems to be trying to make something impossible true, having good results without great players. Even if i understand that you guys are a "project" and you have a spending criteria come on fans have been waiting for a league since the year Pires left to Villareal. You need titles and i want to see the Guns with them, Chelsea had their moment of fame, Manchester are having it, its your time again to shine!

I agree fabregas is a good player but arsenal wont fall like liverpool would if they lost gerrard, we could easily replace him.

We need a DMF and matuidi is a top prospect we should sign him like NOW.

why not buy some one real madrid trash?

Well, winning the CL is not impossible for Arsenal, far from it. Last season the squad was in shambles and couldn't count on Arshavin and we still got to the semis. Now with full force I reckon we got a chance. I think winning the EPL is harder for a team like Arsenal, cause it's a long run with fierce competition. And in CL you can get lucky with the knockout stages draws anyway.

Just two signings and Arsenal would be ready. A DMF and a striker to replace Ade. Wenger should really consider signing Huntelaar, who's quality and young, just like he fancies. I don't know how much Madrid would ask though.

Not yet but apparently he's in advanced talks with Stuttgart to replace Mario Gomez I suppose and become what I think will be their record signing.

I think some1 should try to find Arsene and ask him his training regime or even track their way to the field, check all the training ground and their bathrooms ii bet its the cleaning lady that always lets the floor wet. Now 'dam you lady!

there has been more injuries in training then on the pitch on match day. Maybe they should wear armor during training or something w/ pads. Well ,Wenger did said we`ll buy according to pre-season lets see what he does.Rumor has it Toure will go maybe for 20mil then we can buy a CB w/ air abilities (No more Africans... ACN and we face chels, pool )

Obafemi martins is currently making the headlines for a possible replacement for adebayor, I think its a good addition, we need somebody that is quick ass hell and actualy can handle it (cough cough walcott)

good signing plus we will get him for cheap since newcastle need to clear some salary spaces.

3 left-footed strikers then. Martins, Eduardo and Van Persie. Can't think of another team with 3 leftie strikers right now...

3 lefty is goood =p plus he can replace walcott who obviously doesnt cut it on a regular basis, he had a shamefull u-21 championship.

Walcott's only 18, give him a friggin' chance. He's got a lot of pressure on his shoulders from being at a big club from such a young age. He's shown what he can do like when he scored the hatrick against Croatia and some of the goals he's scored for Arsenal. Anyway, he's better than Martins IMO.

It amazes me how impatient and spoilt some people can be with footballers.

Martins can handle it? The guy has pace and nothing more. I'd pick Walcott any day mate. We don't need no bloody somersaults, we need a tall striker who can actually finish, all of which Martins is none.

It's unbelievable this injury record at Arsenal. Will we ever see this squad at full force?

I think this injury will have to force Wenger's hand. He'll have to move for Chamakh as like it or not, we lose a striker until January as either Arshavin or Walcott would have to play on the wing.

Add to that the Medical room is a joke with prognosis' on when a player will be back in action!

Can't believe our luck - i thought we were going into this season missing just a DMF.

Wenger can't make the same mistake as last season when he thought Rosicky would be back by season kick off - can he?
