Arsenal Thread

The only reason why I started supporting The Arsenal I met him in Orlando WC`94.

You met the legend in person??
Wow, I wish I'd meet him one day. My favourite player ever. I started following Arsenal only because I wanted to watch him :)
And then with Overmars, Vieira, Henry, Pires... watching those guys, I had no choice other than supporting the Arsenal. But Dennis was the main reason!

The result itself today was a great one. Nice to see Giroud back to good ways. But I was surprised that Özil wasn't even on the bench. I guess he's getting a much needed reality check from Wenger.

Oh, and that Rosicky goal was every bit as good as Wilshere's goal against Norwich. Fantastic interplay. When it clicks, it is pure bliss.

I just wish we had other approaches to scoring, because when playing top 4 opposition we'd probably never score a goal like that.

More like I ran into him like a school girl, the only words that came out of my mouth were noises that may sound like whale sounds. Although ,I became a Dutch on the day! I consider myself lucky to see so many great players on that pitch.

I am Wenger....OOPS.

I think you guys should have a litle bit patience with Ozil. The guy is obviously tired.
Don't forget that clubs in England play more matches than in Spain and Germany and that the league is also more competitive. So this litle injury might be a vlessing in disguise. He finally has some rest.

Yep I don't think it is any coincidence that his run of bad form has happened after Xmas, he is used to having a couple of weeks off at this time and he needs to get used to it.

Rest him for the next couple of games as in March we have a ridiculous schedule!

He was brilliant when he first came, it's his first season and he will come good again, people being on his back isn't going to help things.

At the moment we can afford to rest him, he can get his head together and he will come back better, I'm sure of it :))

After stoke March looks like this

Everton H
Bayern A
Spurs A
Chelsea A
Man City H

You can't get much tougher than that!

Rest Ozil for Stoke and Everton, make sure he comes back refreshed for the run up to the end of the season.

You folks are lucky. The only former Arsenal player I've met is Overmars. I want to meet Bergkamp, but Ajax' training is always behind gates...

Anyway, great performance yesterday. We played Sunderland off the pitch, and a result like this was needed heading in to those fixtures.

Everton-Away how can you forget that last minute draw at home. (last time Ozil scored too)

I've met quite a few players, most legendary would be Cruijff. I've also met Kluivert, Overmars, Van Gaal, Van der Vaart and a lot of former AZ players (Hector Moreno, Shota Arveladze, Niklas Moisander, Sergio Romero, Jozy Altidore, Stijn Schaars, Moussa Dembélé and many more)

I met Les Ferdinand. Was next to us in the queue for the Nemesis at Alton Towers. :BOP:

Ah wrong club...

Met Bobby Charlton as well but I don't want to talk about that

I only meet Lorik Cana , had few times cafe with him at my hometown (Gjakova), he's my friends cousin and every time he com to my city we use to meet him and go out with him , he's very nice guy ,

Also meet Besnik Hasi (he's from Gjakova too) but just in stadium when he came to see us training and stayed there for a while and talked to us about his carer and stuff like this but that's it.

Now in USA I'm working hard to meet Alex Morgan :SMUG:

The Borat movie comes to mind..next thing we see you on breaking news bring indicted for trying to abduct Morgan to take her to Eastern Europe.
Good luck though. :PIRATE:

Met David Beckham and Cocu (Dutch Natl team), Cocu seemed like a nice dude, Beckham was too until he was spotted by a bunch of French teenagers in downtown Amsterdam on a trip there..next time i know he bolted into a department store w his two body guards. Dude was a lot shorter than I expected..then again..lotta "celebs" seem to overstate their height. Victoria must truly be a midget.

Awesome tribute to Bergkamp btw! Too bad he always seemed to be a bit overshadowed by the likes of Zidane.Dude deserved to win a WC in France or at least have gotten to the finals to play France. The first thing that comes to mind when i hear his name is Highbury..he truly made that his temple.

or I can do in hard way...strange you're not thinking Taken movie ;)

and I have to meet her man , I think very often for her , almost everytime I go to bed... and you know how it feels you already meet whoever you think very often about....David Beckham :SMUG:

The biggest legend I met is the fat Ronaldo. I got star struck for a while but it was alright :)
And the 2nd most famous was Lucio, also from the Brazil National team.

Never met any Arsenal player, I'm afraid. To meet either Bergkamp or Henry would be awesome!

This current squad suks Bobby.
I watched the first half against Norwich, it is not normal that a player like Dembele gets a yellow card for a frustrated reaction versus the referee.
I know the Belgian players best and you could clearly see that they are all 3 very, very frustrated.
The players in that team are very unhappy.
They will never get a CL spot and lets be honest, they don't deserve that...

Changing managers is seldom a good idea, but they should get rid of Sherwood...they need a proper manager...

Compared to Arsenal, Spurs are such a shambles...
For football's sake i hope Arsenal win the Epl

I agree about wanting Arsenal to win the league (assuming Liverpool can't catch the teams above them)

I really don't want Chelski or Citeh to win it.

Ideally I'd like to see Arsenal and Liverpool fighting for the top spot... These two sides have entertained the most this season and are bot excellently ran clubs.

To be honest, i rather like Chelsea. At times Oscar-Willian-Hazard are a joy to watch.
Most people also see it all completely black and white: Chelsea and City as the dark side and Arsenal and Liverpool as the White Knights with shiny armour...that is not the way things are...clubs like Arsenal and Liverpool (as part of the former G14) made the sugar daddies clubs possible...the sugar daddies big merit is that they made football more competitive.

Without Mansour and Abramovich only Man United and Arsenal would compete for the title (perhaps Liverpool, but that is very debatable, would their American owner made his move if there would never have been an Abramovich ?) and that is not good for football either...

It seems that people refuse to see the negative things from other clubs.

But yes, Wenger wants football played the way i like it...(and that is very subjective) and so i would be happy if Arsenal won it.

On the other hand: if i see the joy my daughter has every time Chelsea wins something...why would i object ?

Cool. I've met Shota's twin brother Archil Arveladze.

What would you expect from a bunch of mouth breathing inbred dribbling fuckwits?

Wenger should sign a henchman to be used only in the final minutes of Stoke matches. Crippling Shawcross should be his first assignment.

Every season fans of 19 other clubs can agree on only one thing - that they can't wait for the Stokies to return to the lower leagues.

Dirty, violent, ignorant and obnoxious, and probably only still in the division because of a combination of fouling so often the refs get bored of calling everything and having a stadium so susceptible to weather that the sport played there barely resembles football.

Unfortunately it looks like another year of putting up with them, Sparky seems to have em sorted mid table.
