Kids are doing great!! If Wenger manages to keep them all for some more years, i can bet on anything that we'll have another Unbeaten season very soon!!

off the academy. MOST of them anywayWhere did Arsenal's reserves finish last season guys?
and did these lads play in the campaign or are they literally straight out of the academy?
Not bloody fair that you get Ramsey and we don't.
He's brilliant.
I reckon Willshire is better, reminds me of a young Scholes

If we really sent Gary Neville to show him around, I mean what did we expect?!
Should have sent Anderson - he may not understand English but he would have had him drunk and with a lady by 3pm at the latest...

where's RVP anyway?!
In someways he's similar to Fabregas.
Many a report this morning about our 'inconsistent' form today, other teams seemingly feeding on our poor form at the moment, as we have said that we have to focus on fourth let alone 1st, however the issues with our form is it is giving encouragement to other teams to go for fourth!
Quote:
You look at the top four and you come to Arsenal thinking you can pick up points," said the Arsenal youth-team graduate who excelled on his latest return to north London. "You look at the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United and they don't drop many points because they are more consistent than Liverpool and Arsenal. Saying that, Liverpool have been far more consistent."
What is worrying is it is so early in the season and I agree with sidwell on this, we have no real strength in depth arsene does not seem to know what is wrong.
Quote:
"It's been unbelievable," Wenger admitted. "We won Saturday, Tuesday and were on a high. You feel there's no energy left in the side. I think we were not, as a team, sharp enough to dictate the pace and be dominant in the fight."
Why most of the side yesterday did not play mid week and had a rest as with the other big 4, we have an average income of 3m a game a decent sized transfer pot. We seem to lack strength in depth though our 'kids' seem more able than our first team. Wegner was warned the squad did not seem strong enough last summer and though I agree there is no point buying players who are worse than we have, it is evident Song, and Dennilson are at best squad players they have had the opportunity and deemed not to take it, as neither are able to play at a consistent level. Gallas has not shown enough quality to be an arsenal captain he can do it when the pressure is on, but against Villa he went missing.
Why should visiting sides fear us either home or away when we have no effective player behind cesc, who is playing the role of CM and DCM which clearly he is not. The route one of goals is the most effective way of scoring last year we had conceded most our goals this way, set pieces we improved on. However we have no height in the midfield we have no tackling enforcer in the middle which can mop up the long balls.
Wegner spoke about bringing through the younger players last summer saying they had fought and earned the right to play. But those players given the opportunity to make a name for themselves and claim first choice and they have not taken it. What has happened to Toure this season he can no longer effectively play alongside Gallas and has been eclipsed by a player Utd fans call 'silly'. Djourou is competent in the cup alongside Silvestre and Song who has shown far more effect at CB. Fabianski has continually grown in stature in every game in the CC to be seriously considered as number 1 soon. I like Alumina but I don't like the way he organizes the defence, a great shot stopper but there is no confidence in the defence and that is Gallas and Almunias fault. We will always concede and other teams know if we concede first we don't seem to be able to get back in the game, or we will leave ourselves more open to conceding again.
I am not particularly singling out one player, the issues and problems are clearly DCM, CB, and GK these three positions have no confidence in effectively dealing with long balls down the middle. The rest of the team are not faultless, Cesc has not really stopped since last season and seems to be fed up with the inconsistent approach were we are promised the dwindling light of shiny silverware (like it). Ade and RVP which promised the exception of a glorious partnership last season are patchy and too affected by whats going on behind them.
Nasri too patchy, Theo has promised so much but cannot do it alone and there is no communication with others in the midfield or the strikers. Bendtner at this time has lost his confidence and we only have vela who has been great in the cup which Arsene refuses to give a start to.
In summary will Arsene buy someone in January despite the additional costs we need a player like cana or a real midfield enforcer to give cesc the confidence he does not need to have eyes in the back of his head and worry about the defenders. Our signings are too weak at the moment to signal any challenge, though I concede we are having a purple patch, but there seems to be no one willing to pull us out of it. Before we had Adams, Viera, and Henry who we knew it would be a matter of time before things turned around. Gallas is not displaying that leadership for the others.
A bold experiment Arsene but whats the answer now?
