Arsenal Thread

I'll be cheering you lot on Wednesday, i can't bare to see another Liverpool Chelsea semi with Liverpool shading it into another final :)

If i remember correctly you beat them twice in the semi's with a goal that didn't cross the line and last season when you beat them on Penalties which is a lottery.

Luis' goal was legal. It did cross the line. And we outplayed them at home last season.

And penalties are NOT a lottery. Not when you have Pepe 'I save penalties for fun' Reina. :DUMMY:

And we also beat them in the semi's of the FA Cup.

Penalties are not a lottery, if they were, England might have won at least 5 in the last two decades.

Luis's goal did cross the line. The Club Secratery said so. The Ref said so, the Linesman said so, and even Sky said so.

I hate saying this, because I've said it so many times......if it wasn't a goal, its a pen and a Red to Cech.

Great comeback guys. I see shades of the resilience of our treble winning team within your squad. They have certainly matured a great deal this season and can only get better.

man amazing comeback. When everything was looking bleak superb performance actually. This might be the spark that could revive your premiership & CL hopes who knows...

The best comeback I've witnessed this season in the Premiership.

:applause:

It was immense mate, Walcott was brilliant when he came on, he played right back and right wing at the same time! :BY:

We finally got a bit of luck with the 3rd goal but it was deserved imo.

Sets us up nicely for the CL. Looks like most people want us to beat Liverpool over the 2 legs...wonder why that is!! ;))

Can't wait till Wednesday! COME ON THE ARSENAL! Please don't let us have ANOTHER boring & defensive L'pool v Chavs semi.

Back to the title, I was having chat with a few neutrals on Saturday night who ALL said that Arsenal & United deserve the title this year simply by the football they've been playing - nearly ALL of them hate watching Chelsea. (They were all Swansea City supporters)

Didn't watch Liverpool Chelsea at Anfield this season then?

Anyways, who says Chelsea are through? Fenerbahce are more than capable of throwing them out.

Fener could quite easily be the surprise team of this years competition.

I would love to see us beat Liverpool BUT i have the sneaky suspicion they will triumph over the 2 legs...:(... Just my gut feel.

How accurate is your gut feeling normally?

Liverpool are past masters at getting through important two legs.

Also I agree about Fenerbache - they have an intimidating home atmosphere and will get a goal away from home.

Well I felt 0-0 at home to AC MIlan was a great result. Thought we would win 1-0 out there. So not too bad.....

However, IF we keep a clean sheet at home then I will be confident, as we can score anywhere regardless of who we are playing. I fancy us to score at Anfield if we need to.

The first leg will decide it IMO. If you score I would say you will go through. If not then I will be confident even with a 0-0.

Another thing I will say is that we must be the fittest team left in the comp. Just look how we get stronger the longer games go on. Have a look at the amount of goals we have scored late in games. We have scored 7 goals in stoppage time this season!

If it is tight going into the last 15 mins at Anfield then I will fancy us then.

yes yes plan m I'm sure that's an unbiased opinion of your mates being swansea supporters and want Arsenal & MANU to win. dude why the hatred? i get it you hate the audacity of a person buying a club buying players left right and center and actually getting it right... saying that i still maintain that the premier league title is up for grabs amongst us three teams namely Arsenal, MAN U and Chelsea!!

bitter lil boy! :)

Whats with all the attacks from Delta and Lak, just my opinion mate, your a formidable team in europe and to be fair wouldn't bet against you getting to the final BUT i find to boring watching you lot getting there and would like to see things freshen up with Arsenal going through :))

attacks?? lol mate... nothing but opinion throwing... and as i said time and time again why watch the team if its boring you? Also I only attack cause of the crap being written that's all. Nothing else!!

If Robin turns up in these few games left anything can happen especially if Manutd drop a few points. What`s harsh is L`pool ain`t in it but they can damage our chances

I wouldn't be surpirsed if this happened...BUT...Wenger has consistantly said that he will be staying. He never said this about Pires or Edu who left on Bosmans so who knows.

He has been awesome this season, I think he's a fantastic player so it would be a wrench to see him leave.

Flamini reportedly had promised to stay at Marseille but then he came to Arsenal which the Marseille manager called betrayal to the club. so cant say anything. Flamini could possibly do that even with Arsenal. I hope he doesnt though.

that was a bad thing which Flamini did to Marseille. But then who knows he could have matured up and started to feel more at home in Emirates.
