ArmA 2: for PC and Xbox 360.

Last weekend me and 20 other players where playing a long mission againts 300-400 ai's with no respawn. we was very cautions and very talkative. their was once a point where we surrounded a bunch of ai's and we all waited for an order from our commander to shoot!

Later on that very same mission we headed off to this air field with what seems to be nearly 100 AI's all in that base and we had to take them out and take their helicopter. at this stage some of us where dropping like flies and running out of ammo etc. me and 4 other guys managed to reach to one of their hangers. 2 of us died leaving me and this other guy stranded in the hanger pinned down by around 4-5 AI's. the helicopter was right on our sights near the hanger so we legged it and managed to jump on it and fly the fuck out of their.

we than picked up our last remaining alive player who was sniping from a distance and once we was air born, The enemy AI jumped on another heli and fired a missile right on our arse and it was game over.

i FUCKING LOVE THIS GAME.

I'm playing the demo right now, it's quite good. With the editor especially I can see the potential is massive. The only problem I'm having is my framerate - I have a pretty good computer but I'm still getting a low FPS even on the lowest details. Is this cleared up in the latest patch?

Performance is improved with the latest patch for most people yes, but it's a PC game, to get the right balance takes lots of tweaking and such :)

Hey Placebo, have any news on this coming to the 360 by any chance...or if Operation Arrowhead will launch on the 360? Also, is BIS looking @ OP Dragon Rising sales as a basis to whether or not to bring ARMA to consoles?

Well Placebo, I'm a few missions in to the campaign and i have to say this game is pretty damn good. I still feel a bit clueless, and I'm pretty bad at it, but I'm sure I'll improve with time.

Just heard that a multiplayer mode is locked for the first month of play when it's released, unless you pre-order?

ITV fakes terrorist footage using ARMA II

Hi folks.

I have always been a fan of OFP and ARMA but I am not usually the sort to get involved in forum discussions. However after what I have just seen I felt compelled to start a thread here.

Last night, a U.K based T.V channel broadcast a documentary discussing the Libya's alleged support of the IRA. When discussing how the IRA were capable of shooting down helicopters with Libyan weaponry, they showed what was painfully obvious to be footage of ARMA II, labeled as "IRA footage 1988".

Someone has already taken the liberty of posting the particular segment on Youtube here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h6r-kNct630

You can watch the documentary in full here: http://www.itv.com/itvplayer/video/?Filter=276162

This bothers me on so many levels. Is it even legal for them to use footage of B.I's engine in this manner?

I would also like to make it clear that ITV in NO WAY indicated that it was supposed to be some kind of reconstruction, it was clearly labeled as "IRA footage 1988".

(Took the quote from our forums as I'm investigating this right now :) )
