hi boys in the pc version can import images from jpg to edit kits, like seen on pcaction.de, in xbox is possible to put jpeg on hd or memory stick to read jpg ?

with the camera looks horrible!

You can only use the camera and you can only save 8 pictures. 360 isn't looking great for editing.

^^ what he said I tried for ages using usb sticks and my laptops hardrive but it seems it only wants to import it from stupid xbox camera.......If a decent otion file isnt released may have to borrow friends cameras to get slightly ok-ish looking kits

Dunno why we need another thread on this, but there MIGHT be a possibility for someone with an X-port or Xsata to get at the picture files saved on the HD and create replacement pictures from gif or jpg using that - but even so I don't think we'll be able to get around the 8 picture limit and you can't "import-use-saveOF-deletefile-importnew" either, apparently it removes the image from the kit when you delete it even if you've saved the file in the meantime.

If my Xport ever turns up and I get the game and the time I'll look into it.

if anybody has an XSATA please try the following to clarify...

Hook your XSATA up to your 360...

Place your .jpeg images into the PES 2008 folder
( the folder where it saves the vision camera pics too )

Then when you go back to the edit mode, edit player it should refresh your directory and your imported picture will display in an available slot.
( NOTE: only certain picture sizes will work.. )

That might be how you import your own pictures into PES

In the manual it says, something like, with the XBOX LIVE VISION Camera, or similar equipment :S So maybe, we could use other equipment to do it? Someone clarify this?

Has anyone tried any of the following cameras? might be a long shot but these are supposed to be fully compatible with the 360....just an idea

I have managed to look inside the pes2008 option file using an xbox360 memory card, xploder memory card to usb adapter and the software that comes with it ( all off eb*y for under £15. The good news is that you can seperately identify each kit save, so in theory you could swap individual kit saves and upload/download them. The bad news is that the kit saves are in '.bin' format and not jpeg :( so we need someone with a bit of computer savy to learn to open them before we can start replacing nasty looking photos with proper kit illustrations.

the bin file, is not a pic type, its a system file that contains the image mate, just like when you edit kits on the pc version, you extract the bin file and take out the image from that, now we need to know how to do this, pc is easy but i will try on 360 and see what i can do

Hmmm, I just transfered the UNIFORM01.bin file to my PC using the xploder software to see if I could decompress the file, with winRAR or something.... only problem is that when u use the xploder software it turns the .bin files into .GSX game saves so I will have to findout how to get it back to a .bin again :) GOOD NEWS is that the kit saves are definatley transferable from PC to xbox and vice versa as i just tried it :) (even if there is only 9 slots) this might save everyone from having to sit there with that gay xbox live camera all night :)

I tried clicking your email icon and it says- Sorry! That user has specified that they do not wish to receive emails. If you still wish to send an email to this user, please contact the administrator and they may be able to help.

tell me to not be such a noob if it's appropriate, but are all the kits saved as the same file type? If so, could we get to the stage where we can 'patch' 360 verions?

they are in a folder named PES2008. In that folder the kits are simply called PES2008_UNIFROM01.bin and PES2008_UNIFORM02.bin etc.... So i reckon we could all swap kits, meaning that it would only take one of us who is half decent with a camera to supply the rest of with the kits which could then be added to the PES folder using Xploder.

there is also an PES2008_EDIT.bin folder which I guess is where all our adjustments we made to the original kits (colour, stripes etc..) and name changes go.

all i need to do is get into the bin file, I used to do this years ago with the old versions of pes on ps2 and pc, shouldnt be too difficult, just gotta find the right tools, i think we pic decoder should work

dazfeeder, just finished setting up a fake xbox 360 account and pes profile. i hsve done the manu 2nd kit in this profile and will send it to u in 5mins. it doesnt look bad but is a bit speckly because of the lighting conditions.... if u can't crack it feel free to use it in your option file anyway. :) (ps. it doesnt have the nasty stretched logo as i printed a squashed picture to allow for the pes editors distortion.)

Hmm guys good work, but do you think we could transer this option file with a cd or usb stick or do we need to buy something extra?

Chakir

i am transfering with a cheap free 51mb memory card, and an around £10 xploder usb cable/ memory card connector that comes with the software disk u need. I bought this off eb*y. I then connect the memory card to my xbox and go to the dashboard and select memory unit/ copy, and copy the game save back on to my 360 hard drive

looks like this- ebay item number 300165346352 (ps. i am by no way promoting the seller as i do not know who the hell he is and he might be dodgy, just showing u what the item looks like)

ive managed to work out that there are 2 graphic files in it, but they are PNG graphic files which are a pain in the arse to use, managed to get one extracted but all it says on it is pes 2008, and no kit pics, i will keep working on it, graphic studio crashes when I try to view the graphic files with it too and we pic decoder didnt recongnise the file type
