Anth's FC25 Gameplay Mod (#TU17)!

Same to me. Tried it just for the comparision with 2 or 3 options but coming back to play flawless as v.9 standalone it is. The options are awesome extras to finetune the personal GP. So what I wanna say is, find first a "standalone" Version that suits you the best. And when you have the feeling there are some slight adjustments are needed for you try the options. I always do the standalone test with default, fast, slow Versions. Works the best for me. But yeah, like I mentioned the v.9 didn´t need an option for me personally.
 
Hello Anth! First of all, thank you for the free version of your mod. I downloaded it to test it and then purchased the paid version. My question is: Some defenders don't run. Can I get the ball and reach the goal without being caught on legendary difficulty? Goalkeepers also don't defend shots. The scores are huge. Could this be an instability in the game? I configured everything correctly as requested in the PDF. Thank you!

Hey, I’m not sure what’s going on, definitely not anything I’ve encountered. Are you playing offline? Deleted temp folder since being offline? Try repairing your game maybe?
 
Hello guys! Can someone help me to increase amount of fouls per game? What option can help me with that? I'm using Anth's V9 - NATURAL X + (SPEED OFFSET VERSION) without any other options

Could there be a chance of having the game returning to Vanilla after one match in career mode?
I think I often have the strange feeling that the first game after starting the game feels the way I expect it to feel with all these delicious mods...but the 2nd match feels different. It's too fast and I think I can't defend anymore the way I'm used to do it...hard to describe.

Is it possible that the mods are only loaded for 1 game? How could I check if the mods are still loaded in the 2nd game?

You can load the test mod within your Mod Manager. It´s in the download Folder called "Big Ball". In game you would have a big ball, yeah. The mod loads in every game once applied in MM. But I heard often in Career mode some strange behaviour can sometimes happen. But it´s not the fault of Anth´s mod it´s a game related thing. Anth will answer that better than when he reads your comment.
Just a last question: In Career Mode, you must adjust the settings CUSTOM’ sliders 49/49 line length! YOu have for sure read that the Game changes back that setting from "friendly Matches" settings back to default when you start a new Career. Make sure "after" you start a Career to go to settings again and adjust the CUSTOM’ sliders 49/49 line length again.

This giant ball thing is always the first thing i test when a new version is released. It works. But I think i will try to play one complete game with this ball and will go to another match with this test mod. Let's see what happens :)

Played two matches in a row with a very large ball :) Well, i think you can't call it a match...
But the mod seems to keep on working. So it's just me and my placebo - or is it a nocebo?

If you have a look at the 'Additional Information' PDF in the download, I have a section on 'Speed Increases'. Have a read of that. The game can fluctuate in speed at times, has been like this for many years - no idea why, but it does happen at times. It will always settle. I do have some suggestions in here to help offset this, but it's never ideal when it hits. Career mode also has more variables with morale, form etc that can contribute so that's something to consider also. Hope that helps!

Just read it 10 minutes ago by myself. Till now the Gameplay was well for me and I didn´t needed the Speed Offset Versions since TU 16 arrives. But for sure I had that speed phenomena in older Versions. So good to know this "helps" when we face the speed thing again. 👍

It can help. The speed hack tool on the new live editor is also a good option for us now - but use with caution! Hope you are well my friend.

Yeah, I read that you mentioned it not see as a "full fix". But for testing your new feature I will apply the speed increasement for some games to see or not how things changes.I saw the new Feature in LE. I immediatly get reminded on the FIFA 16 Physics mod where this feature was also a pretty well help. Tbh I haven´t test it till now because I just thought it could deform your mods. :DD

Yet when i do something similar to the CPU, they intercept the ball 9 times outta 10.

It's about learning the defensive mechanics of FIFA/FC. If you're coming from a different game, it's going to feel strange.

The 1v1 mechanic is something that we've been fighting against for many years. If I could choose, I would immediately remove 1v1 from the game, no question. However, 1v1 has two clear elements and it's important to understand these, because the impact can be offset significantly for your own team once you learn the mechanics.

1. The impact on the CPU's defending.

2. The impact on your own team's defending.

For me, my issue with 1v1 has always been with the impact on the CPU. This is substantially better in my mod (and in FC25 in general vs older games with the 1v1 mechanic - FIFA 21 was the absolute WORST in this regard).

When it comes to your own team, though it's mainly an adjustment in how you play off the ball. You have to manage your team more or they will revert to their formation and be passive. It requires more second man pressing to cover passing lanes etc, lots of switching and monitoring of your positioning. I'm not saying the mechanic is ideal, but once you learn how you have to play it becomes second nature and far less frustrating. It's not a 'lack of awareness' as such, it's a mechanic EA have implemented by design and once you learn that mechanic you can defend just fine. It's just you can't apply the same logic as you would if you're coming from a football game without the mechanic, you need to try and adapt.

You need to join the full package tier to access the full package with all the options etc.

The first tier gives you access to most of the standalone mods but none of the options/presets.

What's included in the basic tier(standalone)? Are these:
NATURAL XS: Slow, grounded and immersive
🔴 NATURAL XS JOG: Jog-enabled version for smoother left-stick flow

XS Jog isn’t there but XS and XS Extra are.

Hi mate, just subbed to the patreon. In the installation video (I know its based on FC24) you have a realistic gameplay V20 File you pop in, I can't see it in the latest folders to apply.

Hey man, good to see you back. V20 was for fc24. V9 is the latest for fc25. Is that what you mean?

I have a pretty open mind when it comes to EAFC, as I play UT from time to time. There will be no PES Bias as it’s totally different, enjoying it so far though!
 
I'm currently having a lot of fun with these options in terms of creating chances on offense and overall flow of the game however it's a little too easy for me to defend against the cpu. Any tips how to make it more creative/smart/agressive ? 5 minute halves, ultimate difficulty, default sliders.Bez tytułu.png

Good to hear. Check out the FAQs where I provide some areas you can look at. Attack Bases are a good start. If you're playing 5 minute halves, you might want to open things up a little more also. Regarding ultimate difficulty, I've never really used it, but I never hear anything good about it. Try going back to Legendary also.

The increased attack base is already included in the enhanced difficulty preset. Changing the difficulty to legendary also doesn't do much for me.

There’s a number of ways you can go about this, but it depends on which areas you may want to change.

Active Attack may help, but if you’re playing such short halves with those options, it makes sense you’re not seeing a huge attacking output with that particular setup.

You’re creating a specific balance with the combination you choose, so it’s up to about how you want to change that balance. I always recommend to strip back to just the standalone and build from there if you’re finding a particular behaviour you don’t want and can’t figure it out. Build slowly from there.

Another thing to consider is which standalone you’re using. Have a read of the FAQs and Core Principles pdf.
 
It's very hard for me to write down these lines as i was and always have been a die-hard PES-fan.
But with your V9 mods you turned me into a FC-fan. I can't believe that those words would ever come over my lips.

Sure, PES21 reached new heights with the latest mods and it was a pleasure to play - but everything beside the pitch was always better in FIFA/FC. But now FC25 feels very very very close to PES. Unbelievable! This Natural X+ made it playable for me!

OK, i still need to fire up almost 20 of your mods to have game like PES, but it's OK.

I had some really nice hours of gameplay with my friends last weekend - everyone a PES-enthusiast since 2015. We had so much fun with V9 and FC25; we don't want to go back...
But still there is a big pain in my heart when saying these words. :)
