Annoying bug with player camera.

Don't know if anyone's noticed this. If you use the unlockable player camera, the players that are far away run in a very peculiar way. The only way I could describe it is that they are moving as though to run backwards, while running forwards, kind of doing a can can. I presume this is just a minor flaw with an otherwise good game mode, but it's nontheless quite odd.
 
is it maybe something related to the level of detail?

KONAMI did this actually:
close player -> acceptable animations.
far player -> worse animations, very bad.

as the player gets further, the level of detail decreases, the textures become smaller (less heavy for the gpu to render) and also the animations and the movements suffer from it.
it has been done this way to prevent opverloading the PS2 gpu but being the PC engine the same as the PS2 one, this happens also on PC.

there SHOULD be a way to solve this: try downloading the kitserver, installing it and tweaking manually the levels of detail this way:

it should fix the problem.
