someone tell me is this playable online somehow ? not going into specifics but ive played about 5 games and every team has a red connection icon (i seem to have green) but seem to run twice as fast as my team ,i cant tackle ,dribble, shoot etc its fookin murder..

Well that's interesting however have you got the Wait for V-Sync turned on in your settings? If so this will cause lags online. Turn it off and you'll have a perfectly smooth online experience.

Anyway try playing me, im BLaZiNgSPEED there I always have a green connection icon!:P

no its off and i had it on makes no difference (to me)
I don't have any problems online infact I am very happy with the online system only 2 things that bother me are that there are no online tournaments and you can't chat during game like it useto be possible in PES 6.
try setting your resolutions to 1280x960 and see if you experience lag online.
Also test your internet speed go to Speedtest.net If you've got any firewalls turn them completely off. if you've got Vista turn user account control off and see if it fixes your lag problem when playing online!:D

Go here to test your connection, inspection results will be displayed as A, B or C.

* A Your internet connection is one which allows you to enjoy online gaming including creating match rooms (becoming an owner).
* B Your internet connection is fine for participating in matches but is not fast enough to allow you to create match rooms (become an owner).
* C Your internet connection is not suitable for online gaming.

thanks guys but done all that too, maybe its my old ps2 controller done a sterling job up until now(pes5 upwards with a usb thingy) maybe i need a new con ..

The speed of your own internet has nothing to do with the quality of your connection to other people. I have a 20 meg download speed but it would be worth nothing with a bad connection. The connection depends entirely on the quality of other people's internet provider, wether it's broadband or through a router (some routers are beter than others)

For example...If you have Virgin Media Broadband on at least a 2meg speed...youll be fine connecting to the same. HOWEVER, if you're opponent has a crap 56k dial up connection (lots of people have)....you aint gonna show up as green on his screen, and he definately aint gonna show up as green on yours. Or if they have BT internet someone else equally as crappy. If everyone had quality internet providers...we'd all be fine.

Nobody can say they always have a green connection because you can't see your opponent's screen. Your connection colour will always be green on your own screen.

The problem is Konami's terrible server not your PC's....i know it's better than last year, but thats not the point...far too many people are still having problems online that they shouldn't be having. You shouldn't have to mess around with settings constantly OR turn your firewall off.

I totally agree about the online communication though....it's way less fun not being able to talk to other players during the match.

If Konami cared....they would have fixed for this year. I played PES2009 for a total of 2 days just like last year.....not interested now. I might even send it back to Play.com

Yep feel much the same as you re the online game - I mostly play with a mate of mine and we both have good connections and for us Pes6 plays well. Unfortunately there just seems to be something wrong with 2009, it seems un responsive in some way. To have a game like this that is pretty unplayable for most is just a crime by Konami. I also play TF2 also quite alot and which is fare more graphically intense with over 30 people on a server and it plays flawlessly - there is no excuse for 2009 to play the way it does, it is just bad coding end of.

ridiculous lag online today, i went to kick the ball out with my keeper and the screen jumped the ball got left by his feet and the other guy walked it in...

i got
a
a
a

but its still shit

Quality post Burns... :APPLAUD:

This is a little off topic but I have Mario Kart on the Wii and can connect to 11 other players from USA, Japan, South Africa, Australia, even England! and play a completely lag free, fast paced racing game with no teleporting, skating etc...

Just goes to show that Nintendo care about customers, Konami couldn't care less.

Konami dont have a clue what their customers want. Neither do they have a clue how to make a polished complete game with no flaws. There is a diamond in there somewhere buried deep, maybe one day we'll see it in all it's glory.

i can guarantee the ps3 and 360 servers are working a treat they(konami) couldnt give a flying **** for the pc servers
