I know you can play 2 v the computer but how do you play proper 2v2?

i have a feelin he may be lyin as well. although their are four spaces, and you can change to home and away, so if you could just invite three other people, then their should be four in the room, and you can then all swap around to home and away, etc.

I think he means you can play 2v2 if you have 4 people on one console.
