Or at the minute, anything you buy in Game can be taken back until the 7th of January so you could have it for almost a month then take it back ;)

Oh my. . this game got panned by Gamespot. Got a 6.8 and is said to be worse than than the ps2/xbox version which they say was EA's best effort.

No club teams. You qualify for the World Cup, but can't play it? Only qualification groups in there is Europe - you'll have to manually create the other regions!

I will be passing on this.

Nope, cause EA will be releasing a World Cup game, so why the fuck would they ruin chances of selling that game if you can already play it in the the 06 version. It's all about the moolah amigo, plus MS our an official partner of the World Cup. Basically FIFA RTWC is not even half a game, hence why it's been panned everywhere.

Thats absolutley disgraceful...and some people say Konami are money grabbers! What a stupid pointless game....fuckwits!

It's a shame there's no PES at launch. An updated PES5 with FIFA06RTWC level graphics would've convinced me to buy a 360 at launch, I'll be waiting for PES6 on PS3 now and won't be buying 360 til Halo 3's out.

really? I thought you said you were gonna get this game with the console?

Gotta say, after having an extensive play of it at work I was starting to get a bit bored of it. At first, like evry fifa imo, it surprises you in how easy it is to pick up and play. The problem is the wow factor doesnt last for long.

For me, the big let down is the actual player animations and the way they all seem the same. Its been a problem for fifa games for ages.

Supposedly they've been workin on this game for ages. With so much power to work with, and with so few teams and game modes they should have nailed player representation 100%. Not just how they look, but how they move, shoot, run, dribble etc

But no, they're all the same. It looks great imo, but after a few friendlies I was bored. Theres no sort of modes to keep you going either. No manager mode, no edit mode...whoever said this is a rent title was spot on. Time to change the avatar...

i think what he means is the special (i think) "Xmas deal" they're (GAME)doing which i saw in one of thier catalouges. if you buy any game from now at any GAME station, you can return it back with your reciept and get your cash back that instant.. but this is valid till 7th Jan (i think) so go purchasing crazy at any "GAME" store and be certain if you return them before 7th Jan you will definitely get your mony back..;)

Speaking of faces apparantly most of the "not so famous players" faces in game is just blank which means if you score a goal with a "not so famous player" and you play it back in replay mode, you might just be freaked out :lol: so before hand just thought i should remind you or let you know ;)..........

i think this thread should just about be put to bed now because i think in about 14days time, this thread will be the last thing EA will want to read (wait a minute .... it is :lol: ) after people play this game for about 3 days and come back slating it.......just my opinion anyways (i'll just get that clear before i'm bombarded by........................

Ok 2/10 but wheres the review? ive seen it get 6/10 on gamespot saying that they have taken things out of it that were in the Xbox and PS2 versions of FIFA 06. I have played the demo on the Xbox 360 Kiosk at my local gamestation and its not that bad at all! very similar to ordinary FIFA 06 for Xbox and PS2 for which I rated 7/10, but I would say this isnt a significant enough change for the so called Next-Gen. Same as the MS NBA 2k6 by 2K sports.... not enough change both graphically and games play wise to suggest its Next Gen... Project Gotham 3 so far appears to show Next Gen qualities.

My advice? for all us soccer fans lets wait for Konami to show what they are making up for PES6/WE10 and hope it IMPROVES on PES5 which I thought was a little too dissapointing to warrant a £40 price tag!

i can swear i read that review 20 mins ago........ oh well.. if they (EA)dont want reviews like that only they can put an end to it (but not that way they might have just done it on that site) by creating a game worth calling a next-generation title as they themselves called it. FIFA06 RTWC is (as far as i'm concerned) NOT a next-generation title but a routine world cup sequel EA produces after every 4 years to ....... well we all know why it's developed dont we now??? ;)
