When it comes down to boots I prefer "speed boots" and I only wear models from Adidas, which means I am a F50 user for some years now(although I don't buy a new boot every year). I usually love exotic colours and designs for boots, but I think the most stylish boot to wear is the synthetic Black/Black version of the 2nd generation of the Adidas F50 adiZero range:

Because players usually don't touch the black- or whiteout versions, I guess this is due to contracts between players and brands. You can rarely see one of these boots in rather exotic leagues.

I think Antonio Valencia did use them in a few games. I might be mistaken though.

Not really, Valencia used the Black/Green ones and used black colour to hide the green areas, but the three white stripes where still visible.

Because they look like the prototype ones and advertise nothing. In a game, unless you know how they exactly look like (the sole mainly) you wouldn't guess the brand.
