No, you need the USB wireless adapter that comes with the 360 Wireless Controller for PC. The play & charge cable only charges.

if you already have the controllers then it is worth £12 (Amazon) to use them with pc. it is called a Crossfire Wireless Gaming Receiver.

Yeah, it's awesome. Best controller I've ever used on a PC and more and more games are coming out with it as a default controller set up. Especially the ones that say Games for Windows.
