Will PES 2008 run with no lag on highest settings ?

Hi guys I am looking to run Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 through my 26" HDTV via a DVI to HDMI Cable these are the specs I have

Intel Pentium 4 3.0GHZ Processor
1.00gb of DDR Ram
PNY Nvidia Geforce 7600GS AGP8X 512MB Graphics Card

So will this game run at a High resolution and look nice and smooth but play without slowdown or lag

I don't believe it will. Your processor may be to slow and you certainly need a new graphic card. In resume.. you have to update your machine. But keep in mind that there are a lot of guys that can play pes2008 in a pentium 4 in high settings. Get a 128 bit graphic card like 8600 gt or 2600 xt, if you have money and want to update without spending a lot of money go for a dual core higher that x2 5000+ (Amd talking) and a 8800 gt graphic card, then you will be fine!

Hi thanks for your help mate I might not be able to run pro evo 2008 on these specs at highest settings after reading your post about what you need but It should run at maybe medium settings ok. oh and the card i have i just bought a couple of days ago so it is new lol and it is a 128 bit card.

i m doin great with an AMD Athlon x2 3600+, 8800GTS 640MB, 1 GB DDR2.. highest resolution, high settings. No lags no slowdowns whatsoever..

Deadbeat77 .. pes 2008 is graphical heavy. Having a 8800gs you will be able do play the game in highest settings, even if you have a 3600+, the graphic card does all the work.. So, as said before i think that the upgrade will be the best thing to do. 7600 is getting older by the day, and if it's AGP worst. Get a pci motherboard, a decent dual core and a better graphic card,higher than the 8500gt and then you will be fine, trust me!(and having 2 gb ddr2 also helps). Of course that in medium details you will be fine (I hope). Peace

I play pes 2008 on intel pentium 4 processor. My graphic card is ATI Xpress 200. Its 64 MB video card 2.0 pixels but it runs pes 2008 very smooth on medium setting high won't work since it wants 128 mb ram with 3.0 pixels. High works with the so called kitserver but its still not like the genuine high settings.

But if you want guranteed fast performance on high settings then get FIFA 08!!

graphic cards like the Ati Xpress 200 are compatible with FIFA 08and is better gameplay then pes 2008. Goal keepers are extremely strong in fifa 08 its very hard to score unlike pes 2008 99% of the shots go in. But in fifa 08 95% of the goal attempts are missed:w00t:
