I am in limbo at the moment, i have pes2009 installed all mods on it but i can't seem to find many english based players or leagues to participate in. I am thinking of reinstalling pes6 as this has a far better online experience. I would just like to find players to play or a league that is up and running where people are plating at around the same time regulary.
 
not playing anything online right now. I am mostly playing older stuff. the new ones all seem to crash and cause me grief. the old games, fully patched, let me play them on maxed settings without making me angry.

just got nba 2k9 and holy shit is that a lot of fun.

Lets have some replies. Theres plaenty of people hovering this forum so they must be playing something or maybe we are all playing offline.
 
Both installed, playing 80%/20%. For me PES6 has better gameplay, PES2009 just okay, though looks good. Maybe I can't play.

the problem with this forum is there's too many people that think their opinion is fact, it's really going downhill for discussions, it's still top notch in terms of the editing section, but the discussion section is just full of people moaning and stating their opinions as if they're 100% fact.

I prefer pes 2009 to pes 6 for many reasons, that doesn't mean i'm right. You prefer pes 6, but instead of just saying that, you make a childish and pathetic statement.

it's getting really boring lately, this place was once a really good forum for discussing the games, now it's full of people who appear to be game development experts who know more than Konami, yet are sat on their arse in front of their pc in their mum's house rather than working at Sony or Microsoft.

Thats rights its all about personal preference. I have to say having jusr re-installed pes6 again. Ido like pes2009 offline but like so many i brought it for online play and in that department it is so far behind from the place pes6 is. I have to say there are still just as many people playing it on the servers than on any day on pes2009.
 
PES 6, the gameplay is much better than pES 2009, to me the only good is Be a Legend, but due to the bad gameplay and bad rating of the same BAL is getting boring, so to me the best with and updated patch is PES 6, till far one of the best of PES series (with PES 4,5)
If next PES is with similar gameplay of 6 and with BAL, will be a great success.
 
Well the votes going with pes2009 but i don't see that in the amount of people in the server rooms. Are people playing alot of pes2009 offline or are they just putting up with the accasional lag issues online. Also are there any leagues set up for pc players either on pes6 or pes2009 as i would like to participate in one.
 
I'm just playing offline at the moment. I used to play PES4 online on a regilar basis (every online match I played, I played it with Cagliari), never played PES5 online, I've played several matches with PES6 (using Torino or Valenciennes mainly) but there were too many "bimbominkias" (Italian people will understand immediately what I mean, for the other ones let's just say "cheaters" even if it's not the same) out there for me to enjoy the PES6 online experience.
I re-started playing PES2008 online with Hamachi and VPN, but I wanted to play just against friends of mine (I used to use Valencia).
I've never played PES2009 online and I'll probably never do it.

Offline, the game I'm playing more is still PES6 PC.
We use to hold some little tournaments, in which we use PES6 PS2 with original rosters or PES5 PS2 with January 2006 rosters (PES6 seems to be more "tactical" while PES5 provides a more immediate fun so we keep them both in working order) but I must admit that my favourite one in terms of gameplay has become PES6 in this last period.
 
I'm playing 2009 purely for BAL at the moment. When I get bored with that I think it'll be back to PES6 to continue the master league.
 
Pes 04 was the best, there was loads of leagues around then, now the pes scene is completely dead. I assume most people have now moved over to ps3 and FIFA 09. There's barely any English playing pes 09 these days. :(
 
I never look back, I always play the latest PES, so its 2009 for me, on 1.30. It's certainly better than 2008, but I do fondly look back on PES6.
