VGA card and game performance

My VGA card GF7100GS 256MB can select any graphics quality without kitserver. But the problem is the game runs very slow on 800x600 high quality. I tried 1024x768 in medium quality, it's also very slow. Does anybody have the same vga card who can play in high quality?
