I have been experimenting with different resolutions on a 19 inch lcd lg, my system specs are as follows, dual core, 8800gt 3gig ram, now here's the most fantastic part of the pes 2009 gameplay, from what i have experienced with the latest update from konami i am playing on 1024x768 resolution with the default option file, from my side i have played a few matches and im flabagasted from the amazing gameplay at that resolution, i really really want people to try to play the game at 1024x768!, you will notice the best gameplay with amazing response from players speed is perfect! please try these things i have expplained there is absolutely no use in playing at higher resolutions unless you have a dvi connection from your video card to your large lcd screen, oh and my settings in nvidia are as follows

maximum pre rendered frames 1

gpu acceleration is single performance mode

vertical sync is on make sure it is not ticked in settings of pes 2009 and also frame skipping ticked good luck

let me know please guys, make sure your resolution is 1024x768!!! for the best gameplay i have ever seen!

the secret to a SMOOOOOOOOOOOOOTH gameplay is

Check frame skipping

Uncheck Vsync

FORCE VSYNC ON NVIDIA PANEL

AND USE 60HZ ON MONITOR ON WINDOWS

No matter what resolution u use.. (I use 1024x768 too, but on windowed mode, it feels smoothly..)

If you check frame skip, and uncheck vsync, forcing it on just on the nvida panel, the gameplay becomes JUST LIKE DE PS3/XBOX one..

exactly dude never ever play on higher resolution because the pc is really designed for that dats just because the monitor and that as you exactly said the 60hz is a an issue, doesn't matter if you have 3 sli's, i predict because most people still have crt monitors and average lcd monitors, it certainly is better than xbox 360 and ps3 iv seen the gameplay on both system
