Use CDKey from DVD box for digital download version?

Hi,

This is the first time I've preordered PES 2013 DVD box as there is no digital version preorder.

Actually I want to play PES without the disc, so can I use cdkey from DVD version for digital version (if I have) to play online?

i'm pretty sure when you use a patch for pes, you won't need a disk, but may be wrong
