The story of my 18+ season Master League!

Hi guys - ive been playing Master League since its inception on PES,way back in the day. I had thousands of posts on the old PESfan site,loads of ML story threads - which i lost when it shut down and i was gutted!

So,here is the story of my PES 2021 Master League - which i started in 2020,and is now over 430 hours in!


Difficulty - Professional.


MONZA :::

Season 1 - Won Serie B - Balotelli player of the season.

Season 2 - 4th in Serie A.

Season 3 - 2nd in Serie A. Won the Coppa Italia.

Season 4 - 3rd in Serie A.

Season 5 - Won Serie A. with 101 points - Bustos Player of the season - Won the Champions League.


SASSUOLO :::

Season 6 - Joined Sassuolo - Won Serie A - Esposito player of the season. Won Coppa Italia - Won the Europa League.

Season 7 - Won Serie A again - Esposito European player of the year - 109 goals in 96 games.


NAPOLI :::

Season 8 - Won Serie A for a 4th time in a row- Haaland player of the season.


AC MILAN :::

Season 9 - Won Serie A for a 5th straight time - Del Piero player of the season - Won the Europa League.

Season 10 - Won Serie A for a 6th straight time - Del Piero European player of the year.


CARTAGENA :::

Season 11 - Won La Liga 2 - Padilla player of the season.

Season 12 - Won La Liga - Padilla player of the season.


Difficulty - Top Player.


Season 13 - 7th in La Liga - Padilla European player of the season.

Season 14 - 2nd in La Liga - Won The Spanish Cup - Columbo league top scorer.


BARCELONA ::: (this was trying to use retired players only as a rule)

Season 15 - 2nd in La Liga.

Season 16 - Won La Liga - Falcao player of the season - Won Champions League.


Difficulty - Superstar.


Season 17 - 4th in La Liga - Falcao European player of the season. Girona pipped me to 3rd,and Atletico just beat Real for the title by 2 points. Those two Madrid sides are really strong.


After this season,i went for a total 'reset' of my story and i moved to Wycombe in the English Championship,they had just finished rock bottom and i decided to only use 16 year old players or youth team players. I put the difficulty back to Top Player,as i just didnt enjoy Superstar - Top Player seems about right imo. And this will be a real challenge with a very poor Wycombe team hehe.

This is where iam currently - i have a 110 KG Akinfenwa up front,who must be the heaviest PES player in history - hes a real unit haha! Ive just bought a regen Donnarumma,who is performing heroics already.

Mbappe is actually 16 years old this season,but he wouldnt come to Wycombe haha!

I will be updating this thread as it progresses more - if you have any questions,then fire away!

The best rated regen player now is Van Dijk at 96. The highest rated 'Original' players are Rodrygo at 83 and Curtis Jones at 81 - both in their late 30's!
 
Wow! That is some going mate 👍🏻 A fantastic trophy haul, real mix of teams and some brilliant success stories there.

I think the most I have ever managed is 8-9 seasons but there is nothing better than a long term ML save, building your own stories and bonds with players.

Out of interest, were they any players who you kept signing or taking with you as you moved clubs? Apart from trying to convince Mbappe to sign for Wycombe 😂

Archive.org is probably your best bet but its very unlikely more than a couple posts of yours will be archived. If you have a collection of all the URLs of your posts that would make it a lot easier to check if your posts are archived or not.

Cheers mate - you could say those first seasons on Professional difficulty was maybe too easy in the end hehe,so maybe my best season was guiding Cartagena to 2nd in La Liga on Top Player - but Real proved too strong.

I took Adama Traore with me to Barca - hes such a powerful rapid player to have on the right wing!

That Barca team was the best overall one i had so far in ML : Falcao,Robben,Bale,Ben Arfa,Hamsik,Wilshere,VVD,Maldini...

i had Forster as GK,and he has by far the best goal kick pass ive ever seen - a low punt straight to the winger everytime!

One major glitch i would say about PES 2021 is that the AI score about 9 out of 10 direct FKs everytime,which is very frustrating - sometimes i manage to get it cleared off the line from my defenders head hehe.
 
Have you ever tried Football Life 25? If you ever get bored of your current master league and want to try PES 21 with modded gameplay and latest squads/faces and licensed teams/stadiums you should give it a go.
 
One thing i noticed looking at the transfer market - A regen Ronaldo is 94 overall at 25 years old,and has a £923K release fee!! Never seen anything that high...

Theres also a 'made up' player - Corte Real? He is a beast at 94 rated....
