Tekken 6

Loved it back in the day. This and Street Fighter were the true kings of fighting games for me.
 
Its had its day like Streetfighter

Now we get a graphically better version for £30-40.

3 was the pinnacle for me, although I enjoyed the later Tekken Tag Team Tournament as well.

Might get a cheap used copy of it a few weeks after it comes out just to check it out.

Yup. After 3, the updates havent been good enough to justify the price tags IMO. I mean, the games have definately got better with each installment, but they all seem like the same game you've always been playing with tweaks.
 
I think its the lack of innovation in games like this and Street Fighter that has put people off. I think they can actually make "revolutionary" changes but their just being too lazy to bother and just releasing as Coopz said graphical updates.
 
Tekken 4 introduced the walls but they got rid of some of 'em for Tekken 5.
We had 3 Tekkens before we got Tekken Tag. Lets hope we get Tekken Tag 2 after the sixth installment. Hopefully that'll take the series in a new direction to freshen things up.
 
Well considering you could get a HD version of Tekken 5 (which is brilliant) for £5.99 before they introduced the online elements, I'd say this is just too much of a rip-off for me.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge Tekken fan, but if I pick this up it'll be at a bargain price somewhere down the line.
 
Yeah, I've already got that and graphically it doesnt look much different from Tekken 6. I'd only be buying Tekken 6 for the new characters really.
 
I'm waiting for a review or few but the gameplay vids didn't impress me much at all.
