I thought this deserved its own thread (but watch it now, it'll die a death after day one ).

Teddy Sheringham is retiring at the end of this season. One of England's finest.

I read today that his dad wanted him to break Stanley Matthews' record - so he would have only needed to play on for another ten years...

Great player, great career and kept himself fit and going. But by all accounts, he is a complete and utter wanker.

How is he a complete utter wanker? He is a good professional in my eyes.Never had pace but what made him a great player is that footballing brain he has.Always see moves ahead of other players,I bet he would make a great sweeper if he wants to play there.Teddy came to United and WON IT ALL.A Legend in my eyes.Cheers Teddy Sheringham!

A lot of players are wankers OFF the field. It's what they do ON IT is what matters (unless you are married to them.)
