Stuttering with Vista x64

I set up Windows Vista x64 last week, and after setting all hardware drivers needed, I installed PES 6.

Even if, I turned V-sync on in nVidia control panel as I did in XP, there were still stuttering.

any solution for it?

My PC spec.

CPU-Core 2 Duo e6300 1.86Ghz
RAM-2GB(PC-5300)
VGA-GeForce 8600GT(Forceware 162.22)
OS-Vista Ultimate

and, Kitserver 6.5.3.

Welcome to the world of Vista. Truth is, it still stinks. I tried using Vista Ultimate 64bit on my rig (Core2Duo E6400@3,2Ghz, 4 GB RAM, GeForce 8800 GTX) for the last three weeks and went back to using XP yesterday. It just still isn't right there for gaming if you'd ask me. Hitman - Blood Money: Doesn't work. Dark Messiah: Crashes, crashes, crashes. Oblivion: Runs 30-40% slower for me than it does on XP.

I love the look of Vista, I love Aero and I love its 2D desktop capabilities. But they still need to fix lots of things before I can finally convert to using it with joy.

I've never tried playing PES on it, though. I just thought that this was the right place for telling you what I've been through just recently :)

Thanks for advice. Uh..I need to think seriously of going back to Xp ... Well, if you like tho look of Vista, try using Vista Transformation Pack 7.0. It changes the look of Xp to that of Vista. Before I installed Vista, I used VTP 6.0+Windowsblinds 5.1. It looked cool, with Aero, side bar and etc.

Vista x64 is compatible with jack shit mate, sorry. x32 will run with most things though.
x64 systems are NOT for gaming.

You mean even Vista x64 is worse than Vista x86 when it comes to 32bit gaming?

I need to clarify my statement made yesterday. Hitman and Dark Messiah DO work without problems, lazy me just happened to use NoDVD files which obviously don't work the way they are supposed to using Vista.

Generally, gaming with Vista 64bit or 32bit shouldn't make any difference when using the same driver versions. So have you tried using a different Forceware version?

yes, I usually play Oblivion and PES, and I tried using 162.22, 163.11(beta),163.15(beta), 163.16(beta).
Oblivion worked not bad on all Forcewares mentioned except 163.15, but v-sync was not applied to PES6 on any of them.

problem is pes dont have an option for vsync ingame. Games with such, like Colin McRae Dirt and Ghost Recon AW 2 works fine without stuttering. We could use a kitserver fix for this.. in the same way the widescreen-ratio fix is made, the vsync option shouldnt be so hard to fix.. someone?
