Steve McClaren thinks hes dutch

I think it's harsh - he doesn't speak Dutch so he's trying to make it easier for them to understand his English.

Would we rather he shouted like an obnoxious Brit???

He doesn't even make sense, the interviewer is speaking better English than he is.

What a f$%king idiot!

Honestly, how the hell does he think that talking bad english will make the dutch understand him better, especially when the reporter is speaking better english then him.

Clueless,

What is he thinking? When foreigners manage in England (Jose, Rafa, etc) they use the same tactic of speaking in simple sentances to get the point across, the main difference is they speak "Crap English" in England.

You're supposed to be speaking "Crap Dutch" in Holland Steve!

He must think he's now an a foreign coach so he needs to speak "Crap English" like Rafa and Jose.

What a D#$khead!

I couldn't agree more.

Just reminds me so much of a Grolsch advert.
"Schtop Steve, you can't rush into something like this. When the Dutch brew the Grolsch they take their time, so must you."

Hahahaha I hope he starts talking with an even thicker Dutch accent. Like ridiculous, totally Dutch.

I think you guys are being rough, i don't see a problem...

Other than he's completely condescending a country that has one of the highest standards of English education outside of English speaking countries, I'd put perhaps Sweden above Holland but the vast majority of Dutch people can speak and understand English very well. So by him talking like an imbecile he's being completely disrespectful IMO.

ok if he started talking like rooney or other english people i have heard, then i doubt they can understandm, cause i cant... LOL , i dont think it was that bad at all

When talking to someone with English as a 2nd language.

Do: Articulate your words and speak slowly and clearly.
Don't: Shout at them as if they're deaf thinking that the louder you talk the better they'll understand your English.
Don't: Talk to them as if they're a 5 year old child "I manage team, player play football, ball in goal, we happy"
