Slower players=Realistic gameplay

Hi,

After trying the Fifa 09 demo I noticed that what I did not like about PES 2008. It is the speed of players. They are way too much fast to be realistic.

I have the Evolution patch installed. So I found an option file editor and made a global top speed attribute change. Lowered every player's speed by 10 points and the game feels much better now. No more super human players runnning like race horses.

If anyone thinks it is too fast, give it a shot.

I used pes 2008 o.f editor from gamingaccess.

yeah but the game look ridicilous when it is so fast, I have gone further and decreased all top speeds by 15% too

any chance of submitting, how you did it or perhaps the actual option file? i wouldnt mind trying this out for myself

An issue that always arose for me is that while the gameplay improves - the CPU to CPU games in a League or ML would result in very low, if any, scoring. So while I would have a 8 goal thriller or something, the CPU to CPU games would all end up in 0-0 or 1-0.

Can you confirm if that is happening or not? I understand as well the gameplay is much slower when pes is windowed and not full screen.

I lowered all top speed, acceleration, short/long pass speed by 50 points and although the match tempo goes a little slower, the game is still unplayable for me. And believe me, I tried to enjoy it.

This is old stuff, but it suggests this kind of modifications and it was very well welcomed by the few people who tried it.

Not only it has the modified Option File, but a history of the changes I basically made.

Hope it helps, as I think it may be usefull for PES08/09 as well.

Hi, here is my option file, I worked on evo patch. I also have a stadium pack installed which is called Stadion Pack High v1.1 by becks90

My option file has most of the summer transfers, I did my best with the transfers but it only covers French Ligue 1, Spanish La Liga, Premier League and Serie A.
