PS2 Contoller mapping issues

Bought the ps2->pc usb converter from game, but cant map the controls properly.

Only
start, select and the two analogue sticks work properly. All the other buttons dont seem to work.

This may sound like a silly question but have you tried clicking each an every button on the gamepad layout (diagram on the right side in your picture) and assigning the correct buttons by depressing the corresponding buttons on your PS2 controller?

Xp or Vista may not map the buttons correctly by default so you'll have to do it manually.
