Program hangs on exit

can someone pls help me? I have PES 2008 installed on my system, anytime I wanna exit the game to windows, the process PES2008.exe in task manager refuses to exit, even when I right click on kill process or kill process tree....I have to restart windows to remove it and it's troublesome...can someone pls help? Thanks...This doesn't use to happen before...Just started yesterday.

Fixed it!!! I deleted my user profile, created a temporary one, created the old user profile again and deleted the temp one...all from Users account in Control panel
