PC Problem with sound

Hi,

i have a problem with the sound effects in PES 2012. It seems like the passing and shooting sounds are always SLIGHTLY behind the video. That's weird, normally the video is behind the sound. Whatever. But yeah...that's how it is. Updated drivers and stuff. PC is connected via HDMI, ATI 6850. Any tips?

Which one? It's fine when I'm using headphones directly connected to the mainboard.

Yeah, then it's probably because of the HDMI. Not sure what could be the fix though, you could try googling because I think it's a common problem. You might have to do some settings in your control panel or something.

What is your configuration? How are you running the HDMI cable? Straight to your monitor or TV or is there something else in between?

I'm running it through my onkyo. However it makes no difference - if I directly connect it to the TV the lag is still there. It's an ATI 6850, I'm using up to date realtek drivers.

Guys, could you try this test?

YouTube - BBC HD audio sync test

I'm closing my eyes, tapping the rythm along (I'm a drummer so I'm probably almost on spot), holding the mouse button pressed down and then releasing it at the same moment I hear the sound. On the monitor the bar is mostly at -1, sometimes it's spot on. I reproduced the same result about 15 times.

Now I need to know what this is problem is in PES 2012 when the desktop obviously has no lag...what do you guy thinks?

Just test it with VGA/DVI (from gfx card) and optical cable from the mainboard. Same result, lag right there. At least it sounds like that. :(

How does the game sound for you? I have a feeling that the effects wenn the players are kicking the ball or the ball is hitting the post is a fraction of a second too late. The PS3 version (demo) seems fine.
