I've seen a couple of threads talking about this. I would love to see all people's experience put into one place so we either confirm or bust this theory about AMD vs Intel problems. When playing online, try to find out what your opponent is using!

(Your CPU) vs (Opponent CPU) - (Result)

My results so far in all my games played online:

AMD vs AMD - no problems in 6 games against my friend
AMD vs Intel - disconnect in first half
AMD vs Intel - disconnect in first half
AMD vs Intel - disconnect in first half
AMD vs Intel - disconnect before kickoff
AMD vs unknown - no problem

I couldn´t believe it, but I tested it myself.

Intel vs Intel (2x) fine (friend´s computer)

AMD vs AMD (2x) fine

AMD vs Intel disconnection in 2nd half

That isn´t a strong database, but the tendency is there!
 
Still unbelievable, but since I play AMD Users only I haven´t had a single disconnection!

8 games in a row today...

That´s Konami masterpiece! After not being able to play decent online games after PES 6, now you can play online, but not against the one you like!

Must be a feature, I suppose. They´ll fix it next year :)

Played a few AMD vs AMD today and all were fine except the last game. The guy said he had AMD but it still disconnected after around 20mins. Played a few vs Intel and all disconnected!

A bit off-topic, but is anyone else getting really bad button lag? Makes the game nearly impossible to play!

but really its crap not playing against your own friends cause they have different cpu's.. if does not make sense. konami should have tested that before launching the final game...
 
I dont see it as that much of a problem tbh
Yeah it should of been tested and it can be a pain but it will get so many complaints that konami will patch this.
 
Having played 15 games without disconnection, nobody can tell me it´s not the cpu.

I hope it´s not to difficult to fix this. Must be a sort of
synchronisation issue. I think Konami have known about this bug,
but had to release the game to keep more people away from FIFA 10.
Or why else they patched the online mode with the release? It´s
not finished, yet.
 
I believe it's a processor thing, not a PES thing. AMD and Intel hate each other. And Konami programming is always perfect. Pff.
 
nope, it must be something not set up correctly or something just don't work correctly

all cpu is treated the same if it can run windows (even newer macs).

Anyway, I didn't expect such a problem.
May it also be 32bit OS vs. 64bit OS (or 32bit CPU vs. 64bit CPU) issue, instead of Intel vs. AMD?
It would sound more "acceptable" I guess. Still odd, but more acceptable.

Acceptable? Acceptable??? Come on, Konami developping an online mode for a pc game and "forget" the fact that there are different types of processor, or different operating systems? Not acceptable to me that Konami has problems with the online mode for the third time in a row.

I agree it's odd that Konami screwed up online again..
But I would understand if it was something they "forgot" to test on (let me say) 64 bit OS's because, unfortunately, they're not *this* popular yet..
You know, having an AMD CPU I would feel quite "discriminated" if the CPU thing turns out being true..
I think it would be WAY more unacceptable if it was really a CPU issue, that's what I intended to say..

Yeah i get what you say. I just cant believe they did something wrong again. On the other hand, its typically Konami.

the problem is that how they didnt notice it!!
if they had noticed why they didnt put a note @ etrance of online mode
i mean i bought new cables and really worked on fixing the problem 'cause i thougt it is about my computer...

now they have to release a patch soon |:<

haha that was interesting mate :p but ye at first you think it is a personal problem but once you get to the forums it is not anymore :p just konami mistake again.

Seriously, poeple need some tecnical knowledge before posting a thread like this one.

CPU vs CPU is not the reason you get disconnected from the player online. It's a internet connection problem between the players, NOT CPU VS CPU lol.

This thread is seriously ridiculous :LMAO:.

Yeah? So days of testing that shows that games between amd and intel machines always disconnect before half time doesnt mean anything? And days of testing which have shown that games between amd and amd machines never disconnect?

Please shut up.
 
RoyalFlush get over your self, the issue is there and the cpu architecture is the reason however wierd it may seem.

I also expected it to be a problem of OS to be honest when I first read this thread (I thought "maybe they didn't try the game on 64-bit systems and there's something wrong when you play PES2010 on a 64-bit OS") but this CPU thing, although being odd, seems to be confirmed also on foreign forums (I've read the same thing on some Italian forums).

Technically, I really can't say how it's possible: if (ad absurdum) some CPUs (either from AMD or Intel) lacked a particular set of instructions or don't meet the requirements (that's the only reason I could see a game hang/not work properly because of the CPU), I'd expected them to disconnect/hang but not only when facing an opponent with a different CPU..

But everyone says it only happens with Intel vs. AMD matches..
