Playing online using direct ip ?

Hello,

Is it still possible to play online with some program like pes4online (for pes4) to connect directly to the opponent's computer ip ? I'd really like to know because I'd like to play against some I used to play against with pes4 and now this guy can't play online with the in game online menu.
