Play.com - geniuses!

Guy in my work ordered two Blu-Rays and got two completely different films :LOL:
 
At least he got the same genre of item, I order a keyboard and get a fucking lightsaber! The worst part is, they don't ship the keyboard outside the UK, so I actually had to mail it to Chris who'd then mail it on to me, so we're now stuck with a big fuck off lightsaber that is too big to be cost effective to post anywhere!
 
How is it that everything involving me turns into a complete fucking disaster?

I've got an auntie who'll buy it for her grandson but she's a tight-arse so I doubt she'd pay £20 or however much it's listed for.

But it'll cost £20 to send it back, literally (because Royal Mail won't touch it with a barge-pole) so...

What a load of arse either way.

The bit I like the most is the receipt. "Enjoy your Gigabyte 7X953P keyboard and mouse!"

I would if that's what you'd sent me...
 
Did you only get charged a tenner though? Then happy days, Lightsaber for a tenner! You gotta feel sorry for the person who got your keyboard when they ordered a lightsaber tho!

Well I submitted a return for refund request 36 hours ago, supposed to get a reply within 24 hours, nothing did another one last night, if they don't get back to me your Auntie can have it for how much it cost me? £9.95 I think the keyboard was?

Yeah in theory I got a right bargain, but considering it would cost about £4,000 to ship to Sweden, even if I wanted it, perhaps not ;)
 
But its a lightsaber. How awesome can you get? Does it light up and make sounds? That'd be great.
 
Plus take off the box and it'll disappear into the handle anyhow making it smaller and easier to post!

It's a red Darth Vader one. That's all I know.

A relative has just stolen it to parade around work, hoping to find a buyer. If all goes well it'll be like an office eBay and it'll go for £51.98, except without the bastard seller who breaks it before he sends it and refuses to acknowledge your emails.

Ending up with a keyboard and mouse when ordering a lightsaber has to be one of the most disappointing things that could happen to a person. I'd be heartbroken.
 
I might order one of these keyboards, too. If they don't send the light-saber instead, I'll sue!
 
Fucking hell they're hopeless!

I decided to keep the lightsaber, as much as anything so they're £10 out of pocket, I ordered a second keyboard, got an Email that it was dispatched 20/10/2009 still haven't received it. Just did a "not received" on their site, wonder if they'll do anything, I submitted "you sent the wrong item" four times into their system about the first keyboard and they did nothing at all.

I have Assassin's Creed II: Black Edition pre-ordered from them, so fuck knows what they'll actually send me or when I'll receive it :(

I've ordered stuff from Play and not got anything at all. I wish they wouldn't clearly label the package with 'optical media' and the exact value, but I guess it's for customs purposes as they are based in Jersey.

I've always found their refund policy to be very good, though.

Its a small island just off France that is either classed part of the UK or we have something to do with it anyway
