Manchester United winger Cristiano Ronaldo has been named as the Professional Footballers' Association player of the year.




well imo he deserved it this year , didn't really do much for his national appearances but certainly played excellent for Man Utd.
 
Lol, for the national team he isn't half the player he is with ManU. Too many players in different leagues which have different football styles so its difficult to form a stable squad.
Yet, for ManU the kid is a beast, except for the divings but he will grow.

Believe it or not, the fact that he plays for Man Utd has nothing to do with the fact that i don't like him...i don't like his constant diving and i consider him the biggest drama queen in the premiership, but yes he's a fantastic player...

Again I don't think thats valid reasons since those can apply to so many players, i agree with the drama queen but maybe since he plays for my team he makes it up with his performance's but about the diving i seriously think this season he has been quite good considering previous years, Gerrard, Torres,Rooney,Drogba, are just a few who are exactly the same and Drogba's a drama queen aswell so why single him out?

I have to admit that you are right, it's very subjective and not very fair (jesus i'm honest)...with Ronaldo and Ferguson i have the impression that it's a kind of coördinated choreography (see also Queroz' commentaries after Pompey and after Chelsea: bad loosers).

But yes i'm not very objective...i admit.
 
Being a pretty neutral Man Utd fan, and a fan of football in general, I can understand your viewpoint about Man Utd, gerd. It does annoy me when Fergie comes out with his hypocritical comments about referees and Ronaldo diving like a olympic medal diver, but they are not the only exceptions in the world of football. There are a lot of dislikable human beings in the world of football, many are driven by money and greed, many are corrupt and cheat but we should try and ignore them and focus on the positive parts of football.
 
Ronaldo has been simply sensational this year, especially in the EPL.

However I do agree with him moaning and diving.

For me he is the best in the world at the moment, although I still prefer Messi (bit injury plagued this year).

I also prefer Messi my Scottish friend, and although Man Utd deserved to win the away leg against barcelona (great football), Messi was sensational....
 
Ronaldo is the best player in the world at the moment. Cunt, but he is. Messi is more talented, but not the best YET.
