Are you using sider? If so, try starting the game without sider and applying the kits to the team. I remember I had a similar issue once with PES 2021.

Thanks. Would sider be enabled in a fresh install or is it something that comes with a patch? Sorry, I am not brilliant with the technical side of things, I knew how to make kits once upon a time.

That's good news, Vs the vanilla console version the pc version has way to high passing% for the CPUI play the PC version of PES 2017, and absolutely love it with Smoke Patch.
I really like this gameplay mod, which is basically PES 2017's vanilla with more passing errors, made by Sensei @Holland, plus a customized dt18 that I found online. I think it gives the gameplay a very realistic, random feeling, based on the vanilla gameplay which I think is really fun.
In reality, I don't mind the more old school feel of the graphics at all compared to console versions, IMO, I think the patches and other features more than make up for it.
Plus there's a great South American community of patches which is definitely alive and growing..
All in all, one of my favorite editions of all time!
This must be pretty much the same mod I use on Pes 21, also made by @Holland

Hey there! Sider is an add-on that kind of works like a program which enables to add many different kinds of mods to the game.. You download it separately.. A fresh install of PES 2017 will not include sider!
Let me know if you have any other questions.. Hope you can paste your kits!

Thank you very much for the info. I have played about with it more and removed everything from my pc and put a fresh instal of the game in. No sign of sider and its still not accepting kit templates just paste's the whole image onto the front of a shirt. It is so strange and I dont get itHey there! Another question or statement/just wondering.
Ive been off and on my PES 17 PC version, and since i also play it (daily) on Xbox , theres a lot of differences (at least to me).
Goalkeepers...
And no im not confusing this with PES 16, but the are really crap vs the console version.
Im playing the same settings on both platforms, but theres a huge difference, Xbox having what we have on all other pes games, that is, good, sometimes OP goalkeepers, but here, pretty much PES 16 standard.
Anyone else?

That's quite odd bro. I play SS, PA1 in PES 2017 PC and I've never noticed particularly bad goalkeepers. In fact, I've always found them to be a huge upgrade (big difference) over PES 2016's goalkeepers, which were notoriously flawed. But 2017's always seemed fine to me.

Its quite noticeable as well, playing one game and keeper concedes on 3/5 shots, that the console version would have saved

Way better than 16, but since i go back and forth between PC and xbox pes 2017, theres a big difference between goakeepers between them, lots more gal scored, and easy ones as wel

@rockstrongo that is indeed a bit strange mate, because I also play with Smoke Patch (IIRC the latest version).. Sensei Holland's mod only changes pass error, I don't think it does anything to Goalkeepers..
But perhaps you should play with Vanilla gameplay just in case. Hope you can solve this bro! (Maybe the console version GK's are different, but I've never noticed any issues).

Yeah I'm going to give vanilla version a go to see what's up.
No Biggie though, I really like the console version, so that's my main fix
Unrelated but what do you think of the more errors mod? Is it a big improvement over vanilla?

Yes and no, errors are good and visible, but I also think it makes the game a bit easier, at least how I see it.
Still prefer the vanilla Xbox/PS4 version over the pc version regardless if it has mods or not
Huh I thought it would make the game harder since it makes passing more error prone but I guess that applies to the CPU as well. I think PES 17 is easy enough as it is, so I won't download the mod. Thanks for replying.

You should try it out though, think it balance the game out well, even though it makes it a bit easier.
Honestly I've been playing 17's default gameplay for a long time already now, I'm kind of bored of it so even if it makes the game easier I think I should give it a go.

Sometimes, even the slightest touch can lead to a foul. Let's say I want something cleaner and without constant pauses.

is it possible someone could help me test if the gameplay is the same with the uncracked steam version. when you install smokepatch on the game and choose the cpy option on the steam version, you are able to "bypass" denuvo on the game by doing this. i know for sure smokepatch updates the game exe because i installed it on a cpy copy before. does it apply the latest official patch konami made to the game in terms of gameplay or is it some sort of trick?
FYI if anyone is willing to try this, the CPY version of the game is 1.01.00 and the latest steam version exe is v1.04.01 or v1.04.00 i think. also i have the live update option in the game menu where you can check the game's data pack and exe version. do you guys who have the original steam copy have that as well?

Hey, i'm new to pes 17 modding in general, i understand how some of it works with the sider and cpks and stuff but i can't find a good patch, all the good ones are either locked behind a paywall or sealed off with hundreds of Ads, Can you guys recommend any good patches and also any gameplay mods? I like the gameplay to be a bit slow and i don't really like manual
