Hi

I have an Alienware M14x laptop which is equipped with "NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 555M using NVIDIA Optimus™ technology". I installed the two PES 2012 demos on my laptop. The problem I am facing is that the game setting only detects the integrated intel GPU and not the GeForce® GT 555M GPU. I tried different approaches to solve this issue but they all failed. I even updated my GPU to the latest firmware available (280.26).

I read that PES 2011 and PES 2010 also had this issue with NVIDIA Optimus GPUs. Does anyone have a solution to this?

At my notebook pes2011 went fine, pes2012 demos also without any troubles. My notebook is also equipped with optimus technology, using a geforce 310m which was detected. About the full game i dont know yet, didn't try it so far.

Thanks. But I tried this before and it did not work.

Well, if the demos did not work properly, I am sure the full game will also not work. Anyway, thanks for the info.

i have a M17XR3, and had same problem.

Now Im using 280.19 driver, and works fine.

Go to NVIDIA Control Panel, then Manage 3D setting, select pes2012.exe and settting.exe, change them to High-performance Nvidia processor. It should work.

BTW, Dell sucks because they update thr graphic driver way too slow, I found the 280.19 driver so hard to make PES2011,2012 work. But Im not sure about m14x and 280.26.

at least you get updates, the latest driver for my acer was published at january i think, sucks...

I have a Lenovo Z470 laptop equiped with nvidia optimus system and I had the same problem when I tried to play pes 2012, even though I had installed the last drivers for my video card (donwloaded from the nvidia official website) and I was very disapointed.
But I discovered a "magic" button that turn off the optimus system which is located in the front of the laptop and when I press that button I can manage the profiles of the graphic card by my onw will.
I think that if my laptop has a way to turn off the optimus system, maybe all of yours have something similar.
