PES 2010 issue - slow to start/launch

I wonder if anyone can help. Whenever I launch PES 2010 it takes about a minute for the application to respond to clicking on the exe file and start to load up. It’s odd. Once I’m in the game it all runs fine. Although occasionally when I exit the game it comes up with appcrash. If I then try to launch the exe to play the game afterwards in the same boot session it then responds and loads quickly. Until the next time after a reboot. Is there some kind of drm issue causing the slow initial load?

I run on Vista home premium, with 9800m GTX in sli. It is patched to the latest version (I don’t run via kitserver etc). I don’t know if it was fine running with the originally released exe or previous patches as I only got the game recently and had to upgrade to latest patch to play online. Anyone had similar issues or have any ideas?
