PES 2010 has finally improved online no more lag (screenshots for evidence)!!!

Those of you who are worried about PES 2010, whether to buy it or not for online play. Well I can confirm you that PES 2010 has no lag online after having played since last Monday!
I played online vs Tunisian, Australian and South Korean right from where I live here in the UK. There was absolutely no lag at all! Not even a blink in my screen!
This was beyond my imagination for PES 2008 and 2009!

Here I am playing UK VS Australia, no lag at all, I am showing how stunned I am! My opponent has no lag, nor do I despite the red connection.
rc0955.jpg

Just played yesterday a friendly match vs a South Korean, he had red connection, I had green connection!

As you can see from the evidence, my opponent has admitted no lag online!:WOOT:
I lied temporarily that I am from South Korea, lol so that he can play me. I changed the name in my profile from England to South Korea this is to help persuade those to play me online, lol.:BOP:
After we have had a successful match I then told him that I was from the UK, London, hehe.:SMUG:

Because I remember in PES 2009 lag was a major problem and you couldn't really play outside your own territory.

Well this isn't the case anymore. PES 2010 has done it! Oh yessss.
I feel like crying from happiness.:LMAO:

After having played a successful match online vs him already, in the second match when I was about to kick-off I told him that whether he had actually experienced lag, he said it was fine.

Neither have I experienced lag. The first game I beat him 4-1 and the 2nd he beat me 5-1, both of them friendly matches ofcourse! I have nothing to complain since I played apallingly bad.:))

But actually I was rather too distracted celebrating the lag-free experience online! My goodness, I am so blooming happy at the moment, dunno how to explain you guys the joy of online play!:EASY:

What are you on? It's ok when meeting people from your own country, not at all otherwise. Posts like these are totally useless..

Btw in pes2009 you couldnt even play vs people in your own territory. A claim like that just shows that you don't have high demands on online play.

^What are you on? He has pictures to prove it. You think he made them say all those words? LOL. The game plays great online even against a red connection.
I think the problem is your connection. Check it ;)

Well, in this case I am showing that I am meeting players from far away countries, not from my own country!
I wouldn't be amused if I played with the people from my own country, cos then it would be less likely to have lag.
Those screens prove it. Playing VS an Aussie guy and a Korean guy without a single bit of lag!

This post isn't useless, this helps those who have no clue about online play. I am sure there are quite a few people who haven't bought PES 2010 because they think it would lag online like in PES 2009/2008.
Well my thread would certainly help them decide. Maybe its useless for you, but not for the ones that haven't got the game yet.
This is for celebration man, when was this possible in PES 2008 and 2009?!
Not having high demands for online play? Oh please. I am on a 24 MB broadband connection, I am a heavy online gamer, btw I know what I was talking about.

And please don't spoil my good mood now with your needless arguments.

Thank you.

Thanks for the back up.
Indeed, that was my whole point, I wanted to show people through evidentiary screenshots that online play has finally been fixed.
I've had lots of people pm-ing me that "has online play been fixed". Its difficult for me to reply to a dozens of PMs replying the same answers.

Well at least this will make my life easier so that I don't have to reply to each and every PM people ask me.:SMUG:
They'll simply see for themselves looking at my thread.:))

^Sure man. I was just stating the facts. Online is really great this year. After two years of headaches online(well and offline) this is a year to celebrate indeed. Things will only get better with patches from now on...
Good job Konami! :D

congratulation BlaZiNgSPEED :)
so how fast your Internet connection speed for download and upload?
i doubt i can play online with this snail (in my country it's called "rabbit" :COAT:)

Thanks for your online info , reasuring..:)

Nope, not with that kind of connection.:((
You need at least 512 Kbps to play online. Yours is 0.35 that's about 350 Kbps. You will be able to play with the people in your country without lag.
However, with the rest of the world you need a faster connection. If this is your result with a wireless adapter, then try connecting to your router directly with wire.
Usually with wire you get better connection speed. And wire is always recommended for online gaming instead of wireless because of its stable connection speed. Wireless speed tends to fluctuate a lot.

Yes, that's speed is alright, you'll be able to play it online as its close to the 1 MB mark and is faster than 512 KBPS.:))

This is my result

Its okay, not the best.
2316704.png

If you have a fast enough internet speed you don't have to worry about playing people from North America, Australasia continent, etc.
As long as your opponent doesn't have a really bad connection, then its fine.;)
But this is certainly by far the best online experience I have had since PES 6.

But now you can be sure that Konami fixed it. If you've played PES 6 online this is how smooth it is in PES 2010, infact I wouldn't be surprised if PES 2010 is even better!
Champions League and Konami, International Cup online mode makes online play really rich!

I am surprised that Konami finally fixed it, I was gonna lose hope in the online play area this year too, but thanks God they didn't betray us like EA Sports did with FIFA 10 on PC.:TTTH:

With 2009 I could always tell when playing against somebody on Wifi - the connection light flickers. Use your ethernet connection man.

In 2010 the lag problems are mostly gone for me, however there are still a few annoyances. For example, in quick match mode the player with the best connection should always host. I have experienced some strangeness in spots - mostly jitters and freezes, and I definitely played one obvious lag cheater. It should be easier to exclude these little shits.

But overall it is a much better online experience. But I am still struggling with the pace. It really is pinball and the more I play the more frustrated I become at the lack of control nuances. Ball control is much more difficult and does feel unresponsive. Need to practice more though.

:)

...but kinda hankering for pes09, pes6...

No, there is no LAN option in PES 2010. You play online, directly from the Konami servers. You don't have to worry about it since your friends/guests can enter you or join 2vs2 on 2 PCs, 1 home, or on the same computer.
Anyway, here's another screenshot, this time I am playing vs an Egyptian.:D
UK VS Egypt.
28k50dl.jpg

In game I used Bulgaria VS Egypt right towards extra time and penalty shoot-outs, although I lost, throughout the game its been very smooth lagless!
And considering the fact that he had a red connection well, I think it pretty much sums up how great online is!:GSCARF:

The :KING: is back!:APPLAUD:

yes it's finaly 100 % no lag but hte prob is in the cpu dc problem they must fix it coz it cancel most of my games but there is no lag @ all i repeat there is no lag @ all ... my con is 2 mb down 512 up Egyptian citizen :D

here is a poll made regarding pes 2010 lag. there is lag. u are just lucky.

http://poll.pollcode.com/K8yE_result?v
According to this poll 119 people have voted no lag, 110 complain that there is lag.
This can be due to either ports not being open or having a slow internet connection speed as a snail.
There is no other logic.

I've played vs far countries, screenshots speak for themselves. Look at the global map, Australia and South Korea are far away countries from the UK.
If I don't experience lag with them, then that says a lot about the online mode this year.

No, it can't be that I am lucky continuously every single time!:TTTH:
I've played PES 2008 and 2009 online and 90% of my matches in PES 2009 and 2010 were laggy, even vs Europe!

Have you seen me last year or the year before creating a happy thread like this to show my appreciation of the online mode?:CONFUSE: Nope, this is my first time in over 2 years having a very smooth experience online since PES 5/6.
Yes there's this problem with AMD vs Intel on PC, but there is no such thing as lag!

I've already played over 50-100 games online in PES 2010 so far from ranked to friendly matches. And I am not experiencing any lag in neither of these 100 games! 100 games with no lag.

What are you trying to say, that all my 100+ lag-free matches online is due to my big luck?:FAIL:

Luck have nothing to do here ;) looks like KONAMI have removed some unuseful networking functions to make the game requiring less bandwidth :D

lol seems ok, i can not even sign in online, says my email is alrady in use, of course it is, i use it for 09,but it wil not leet me use that profile. maybe oneday will get to play online

Worked great online till tonite.

Every game is now lagging big time, i'm talkin 2-3 seconds
before buttons react. Total disaster. Feels like ps3.

Hopefully its just a temporary fault with the server.

I to be honest haven't experienced any lag since.
I am very happy this year with PES 2010 online. As for the 2-3 seconds delay. Yes I think I experienced it just once in probably over the last 60 matches online.
However, the most pleasing thing for me is that there is no teleporting issues online.

PES 2008 was the worst game for online play because it had severe teleporting issues. Online was unplayable, so unplayable that I had to quit instantly.

PES 2010 at least its playable! Noone can really say that the games are impossible to play or complete.
The only problem I have now is the Intel VS AMD issues. Other than that all else is great!

Make sure that the opponent your playing isn't lagging deliberately. See if the player you have played is attempting to cheat or something. And whether he has a red connection and how far he is from the country your living in.
I know this shouldn't be a problem, cos generally speaking online is significan't better this year. Its back to the old days of PES 6!
