PES 2008 Major problems HELP!!!!!!

Ok so i bought evo 2008 and am very dissapointed. I loved the prevoius version and love playing online, but now when i play the game (NOT ONLINE) its laggy, slow the screen doesnt keep up and when its a replay its sooooo slow. Is this Normal, or just my game? PES6 works fine and smooth so not sure whats wrong.

Turned off frame skipping and still nothing, PES 6,5 all work fine, smooth online and off but 2008 is just to seems to freeze up lots when there are crouds of players and even worse on replays. Anyone no how to fix this?? Do i need a new graphics card? not sure what one i got but PES6 works just fine on my pc so it must be half decent.
 
a new graphics card may help indeed, but if the rest of your PC isnt up to scratch there is going to be minimal difference between old and new
