Good news: the demo is out this week.

it is developed by a dream team...Level 5, Studio ghibli (makers of the best anime movies) and music from Joe hisaishi (you might know his music from the kitano's movies).

Pretty much the best of the japanese game, anime and music industry...

My most anticipatef game of the end of the console cycle!

Yes, I expect it too, Studio Ghibli is the best animation studio out there and all this talent mixed in a videogame should produce an inmense adventure.

This game is out for a year in japan and it has had rave reviews in Japan...i never played a RPG, but i'm tempted a litle bit...it want to try something new..either this or GTA V (i know strange dilemma). What should i do?

Alex ???

I'm a big, huge fan of Studio Ghibli films (if your children haven't seen Porco rosso or Mononoke... what are you waiting for??), but at the same time I'm a huge fan of GTA, too...

My advice would be to buy them both! Though I reckon I will love the art design of Ni no kuni more than actual gameplay. But as a huge fan of Myazaki and Hisaishi, I have to buy the game, even if it had not super reviews.

anyone tried the demo? any impressions? i downloaded it last nite but had no time to try it out.

anyone played the final version? it went straight forward to claim the n1 spot in the uk chart if i am not mistaken!

I have it, so far is excellent. The storyline feels kind of tailored to kids at the start, and I'm still in a tutorial of sorts, but it's absolutely stunning.

Production values are through the roof, not yet clear if the story is going to 'grab' me soon. Hoping it will!

The game looks like an excellent mix of old final fantasy and the wolrd of Ghibli. But I have no time to play those huge and large games, even if indeed the production values are over the roof!

Got this yesterday, hoping to have a crack at it during the weekend.

What's it like, evo-web?

Well I'm 74 hours in and still half way through, lol.

I grind a lot though.

Really like the story as well.

Also like how things like
sailing, riding a dragon, instant travelling unfold.

Just wished the weapons equipped show on your lil' beasts though.

150 hrs in and still going!

Done with the story though and just have a few errands to finish. These kaleidostones are hard to get though.

I like it. I find the battles much easier than other jrpgs I've played though. Never died in any battle whether mobs or bosses apart from the very last one. That thing made me re-try 6 times!

You find it pretty easy then? :P Mr Drippy is great, one of my favourite characters from gaming in recent years.
