New patch has made match play choppy.

Really angry. The 1.02 patch has made my game run choppy. i have V sync on and its in the 20s and 30s and before the patch it was solid 60fps take into account i have a 4870 x2. I also would like to know why player faces look weird when when taking freekicks and when the camera is zoomed out? they just look untextured and very ugly and horrible.
 
Will that fix the problem of the jerky gameplay or will that fix the dodgy faces when taking freekick and when the camera is zoomed out?
 
Tried the LOD and the faces still look stasticated and it just annoying me big time. The patch has broke the game, fps are half now at 30 when it should be a solid 60fps.
